Burned a stump this past weekend (grass all around was soaked through from the rains on Friday). Sucker has been there for close to a decade and it was time for it to go. So now that stump won't be in the way if I want to get a trailer back there. I've got three more stumps I want to burn as well. I'll take care of those later.

Dog is on guard duty. Taking a little siesta after his long patrol/hunt through the woods behind him.

Put up my mom's patched up sail over her pool. It will fail again when a heavy storm blows through unexpectedly, I have no doubt about that (but my mom is happy right now and that's what matters). I told her this is the last time before we design a new shorter sail with more anchor points. This existing sail is just too long and heavy (and it blocks my diving board dammit!).

So then my brother had an idea to run a line through the middle and anchor it off to our pecan tree winch. Figured it could help out a little with the sag and weight. I cut away the tree where it had grown into the winch over the years and we ran a new line through it. Maybe this will help... or maybe this will fuck the sail up? Who knows, guess we'll find out at this point but I'm a hair away from burning this damn sail since it's such a heavy, annoying, pain in the dick.

Good idea. Very similar to my hammock tarp ridge-lines. Only issues I can see is the ones Ive had with hammock tarps. Line under them can/will cause abrasions over time as the line and tarp interact w/the rope in the wind.

Now here's where it gets good - line over them will not cause those issues nearly as much. If you sew in a sleeve at the ends and in the middle then run the line through that it should last longer but will still wear heavier there due to line hitting the fabric when the wind pulls the shade up into the line.

I like it, plus it looks a little nicer and more natural than a fence sitting there. They only popped me $200 to come do the trim, so if I have to pay that once every 5 years I’m happy.

You should take that motor out of that truck and give it to @Oswego Oh fuck, never mind. :) But what else does he need?

He needs a frame. Assuming that ones probably fucked too though.

Yes, funny enough from sitting and never getting a chance to dry out after humid/rainy days the frame is rusted as hell. It hasn't seen any salt from the winter in a few years, and the condition of the frame was much better when it first came down. Not using a vehicle (and leaving it outside to the weather) is probably one of the worst things you an do for it.

If you part that thing out... what gears does it have? I might be interested in that rear ARB assuming the third member housing isn't rusted beyond saving.
