Within hours of mowing, these SOB’s wreaked havoc on my lawn, I might have had 6 or 7 mounds in the past month close to the house, but let’s give Taco Loco some hell today.

Set Trap.

Dang...you got walloped

I saw that storm cell way off in the distance when I was on the Walt coming into Jersey. Radio said it was bad.

Here I am in a desert needing rain and you're flooded out.

Your backstops look good to me. I put mine in flush with the ground just for scoring if they throw a roller/bouncer. Few brushed shins or feet here & there, but keeps you on your toes when crappy people throw lol

Just need beer holders now... time to crank up the welder and chase down some horses lol

yeah I needed the rain but not that much. I got to mow the lawn today it was dried out enough, man it was a crazy storm though. You know the old saying, when it rains it pours, literally lol

thanks on the backstops, I guess I’ll see how good my friends are and go from there. Those beer holders are a great idea!

we deff could use all that rain here!!!

I think we’re pretty much done for the rest of the summer unless something tropical forms in the gulf.

We’ve barely had any where I’m at. That was the first rain in a few weeks. My grass (weeds) were dry as hell. Good thing is it extends the mowing frequencies

Got some of the garage cleaned out and I fixed the fence where my dog has learned that if he can get under a board he can bit it and then break it off. Little bastard!

I finally took the time to change out the flag pole rope, that was a bit of a task to get the new rope through the pulley with the old one, added new clips as well. Not much wind today, was hoping for a better flag shot, and the feels like temp is currently at 109....

Got rid of my janky copper LED strip lights from amazon that I had plugged in using an extension cord. Installed two sets of 24’ harbor freight string lights, they are cheap with the coupon, I think $20 a set. Was originally going to wire a switched outlet but found out that it’s against the NEC code to have a dimmable outlet due to fire hazard, and lutron makes a special outlet to prevent plugging in a standard 5-15p but that comes with a price I didn’t want to pay. So instead I cut the end of the HF plug off and hardwired it in a weather tight junction box, and wired to a lutron dimmable toggle switch.

Had to break out my 60" Hi-Lift today and remove t-posts. I bet I had them buried in the ground close to 2' and they have been there 5 years or so. Wrapped a tree saver around the base and jacked them out. Drinking a beer now, its hot out.

Had 2 fairly long hoses just laying on the ground.

Got some free rock to spread around the A/C units and extended it over near the gas line into the house. The decided to get a 4x4 post and two hose holders to get them off the ground.

As everyone else has said....it was hot @ over 100*.

99* here yesterday. Not much got done lol

I was outside most of the day, started at 8am, 103 was the high. and about 2pm we hit a real feel temp at 111, I shelled peas and bluebonnets seeds for about hour under the gazebo around 2pm, I wanted my clothes to completely dry out before I walked indoors. So from about 3:30 to 6:30pm I was inside and changed clothes, and did not come back inside until 9pm when I ran out of daylight.

2 days prior I was out and about but working in the sun + booze at night for three nights in a row caught up to me so I was useless yesterday :roflmao:

Well it rained again tonight so it got cool, a nice excuse to be working up higher in the shop. Finally got my air reel mounted that’s been sitting in the corner of my shop for 2 years lol

made a bracket out of 1/4” steel and sandwiched the uprights to avoid welding or drilling into the lift. Didn’t want to affect the structural integrity, though I doubt a couple 7/16” holes would have done anything to harm it

Plumbed it up, just need to solder the connections once I move the truck out of the garage, I’ll do that another time when it’s not pouring outside

thanks, I like the way it came out. Funny, I posted up the pics on the shops, garage, and mancaves thread on Fakebook asking for ideas how others have done it since when I searched I came up with nothing. I got two PMs asking me to make them one lol. Maybe an untapped resource for aftermarket lift mounts. There were very limited mounting methods on the lift other than the hydraulic pump and the connections to bolt together the lift itself.
