Worked all day Saturday but was still dragging ass due to this chest cold I'm fighting. I got three rows of sheetrock blocking (it's so boring and tedious to do). So the new sheetrock ceiling shouldn't sag like the old ceiling did when there was no additional blocking. Used up all of my 2"x6" scrap I had on hand thankfully. I also spent an hour cleaning and vacuuming up debris. I filled up a 5-gallon bucket with sheetrock dust, debris and sawdust from the miter saw. That cyclone dust collector is worth every penny. I cut the gas line to get it out of the way (it's all getting replaced but this used to be an active gas line in the house) and found these weeds inside.
Sunday, my alarm went off at 5AM and I turned it off, rolled over and went back to sleep. Spent the day hydrating and resting as this chest cold doesn't want to go away it seems like.

The gas line was PVC pipe?

No, it was old galvanized steel pipe.

That’s a clean cut on the pipe, what did ya use? Also, how does weeds get inside of them, I’m assuming the line was disconnected and left open at some part of the system?

I used this little guy to cut it. And I have no idea how weeds got into the gas line but with all the shoddy work done on this house, its not surprising.

30# of popcorn gone from the second to last ceiling in the house. One more to go but that's my only clean room I sleep and store stuff in.
Also added some screws to the ceiling to suck the sagging rock up like I did to the walls.
Carpet padding left me some treats.
Pretty sure this dust isnt good for you
Kinda amazed how well my white wash oil based sealer held up on the original wood flooring. I had to seal everything prior to moving in to "scent block" the previous owners
