The worst part is he used to have an old power line running to the love shack (it powered the motors that fed that massive tank separator). When he got the power installed at the camp, the company went around and took out the old live power lines on his property and they took out that line. So we could've had power at the love shack this whole time (especially when he found out how easy it is to set a new pre-fabbed power pole with the lineset, head, panel and disconnect box already installed on it). Then put it in the large deer stand for overnight stays.
Micro Center sells sit stand bases for cheap although I just saw they just went up in price by $120. I'll make sure to adjust that in my cost sheet. I use these all the time at work to make desks for people.Need a bigger desk in my man cave. Couldn’t find one I liked for the price they were asking. And most desks are too small for what I was looking for. So I ordered a 96”x25” butcher block countertop from Floor & Decor. Should give me plenty of room for the gaming setup as well as the work setup. have some metal legs in the garage that we were going to put on an old table we had and never got around to it before getting rid of the table. So I’ll put those on it for the time being. Will probably eventually get something different because I don’t like the ones we have but for $free.99 they’ll do.
I thought about this but the desk is going to be so big I don’t know if I want the whole thing moving up and down. I would like to have the work section able to adjust so I considered making two separate desks but probably won’t. I’ll figure it out as I go. For now I’m going to weld two pieces of 2” angle back to back and mount them under the butcher block to use as a strong back and help eliminate sag. Probably put the legs I have on temporarily and use for a couple months to decide if I want to split it into two desks or make the whole thing sit and stand or what. Will require moving all my junk off of it to modify down the line but so would doing something now and then realizing I don’t like it later and having to do the same thing then.Micro Center sells sit stand bases for cheap although I just saw they just went up in price by $120. better hurry, inflation is going strong, $500 increase!Speaking of refrigerators and ice makers failing. The ice maker on our Whirlpool stopped working....probably 1.5 years ago. So I did what any financially responsible person would do...I bought ice trays. Fast forward to a few weeks ago, I decided I was tired of filling ice trays when I have an expensive fridge that should do it for me. Tested every relay behind / under the fridge. Everything tested good. I finally concluded that it must be the actual ice maker.
Ordered a "Used - like new" on Amazon for half the cost of a new one, which to me means someone bought it and it didn't fix their issue. 24 hours later, still no ice.
Only possible issue remaining is a frozen water line, but water in the door has worked fine this whole time. So I go to find the water line in the door and see if it is frozen that far down, or if I need to disassemble the door. Water line is fine, but the wire and loom is cut clean in half.
Does Whirlpool sell a new wire harness? Nope. New door to the tune of $1k+. At that point, I'll just buy a new fridge....or crimp them bitches back together myself. Now, I have ice!

But zero indication of what could have cut the line. I don't see anything in the hinge that could have made that clean of a cut. My only suspicion is a repair man we had in the house to work on our oven a while back. I couldn't say for certain that the ice stopped working when he was there, but that's the ONLY thing I can come up with. I just don't see how the wire and loom would get cut in half if not for some kind of scissor/wire cutter. The water line and other wires are totally in tact and take the exact same path.
My first fridge had one and I ended up ripping it out and going back to ice trays. I've bought two more since with no ice makerWe replaced our Samsunjunk fridge with a Frigidaire that has no ice maker,.
We have $100 portable ice maker on the counter, doubt I'll ever buy a new fridge again with an ice maker,.

What is with all the anti-woodchuck attitudes? Are they destructive or something?
I fell for the "do a couple things real quick" trap myself today. I even set the trap myself and fell for it myself. I did some string trimming under the trees where the grass was getting tall in the marsh areas I have not been able to mow. Then I put up the trimmer and saw the pick mattock right there beside me. I grabbed it thinking I needed to dig up a couple wild bushes to clean up the mowing area. That "couple of bushes" ended up being an hour of root grubbing the bushes, three cedar tree stumps between 3 and 5 inches in diameter, and moving some brush to consolidate piles.
Wow, yeah that is a no-go.
