Clean out the joint as best you can, then stuff a backer rod in so it'll save a ton of caulk: Sika 3/4 in. x 20 ft. Closed Cell Backer Rod, Expansion Joint Polyethylene Foam 108130 - The Home Depot

Then use this Sika self leveling caulk: Sika 10.1 fl. oz. Sikaflex Self-Leveling Horizontal Joint Elastic Polyurethane Sealant in Gray 7116070 - The Home Depot

There is no shortcut for this fix unfortunately. This is the longest lasting method but you'll have to redo in ~10 years again or sooner in high traffic areas.

this is what I’d do. And for bigger gaps I’ve seen people use pool noodles as well. I used this method to fill in a larger crack I had in one of my sidewalks.

The material is the cheap part. It's the tunneling under the house that's expensive. The house to the street is about $6500. But under the house is all hand digging at $500/ft.

We had Kerry Lewis Plumbing tunnel under our house for a bathroom pipe issue and it wasn't nearly that bad. I'd highly recommend them. Get another quote at a minimum.

I've gotten four quotes. Best one was a little cheaper but it's still insanely expensive. Oh well, it's just money.

After last nights storm, which was pretty substantial, the pools main pump breaker is popped. I suspect it got some water intrusion on the pump somehow. But also, smells like a dead mouse over there. Took apart the breaker panels and didn't see anything, nothing appears to be in the heater. But its there somewhere. Figure I'll let the whole area dry out today before I call in my pool tech to replace the breaker.

Pump came back on... pretty sure the pump motors seal is compromised. It worked for a few hours when I tried it around 5PM. Time enough to dry out. But now its pouring again, if it does the same thing tomorrow I'll ask my pool guy about just using some RTV to seal the connections around the pump motor. IMO I think that should work. But on the other hand I am not a pool guy and I have been known to shoot myself in the foot doing a repair. So if he says its cool... cool. If he says to replace the pump motor... I'll just let it be for a while. lol

Finally got a free fridge from work that has a working ice maker for my mom's garage. Got it hooked up today.

So now I have three sources of ice for my coolers, two at my moms and one at my house.

I trimmed and mowed around the house hopefully for the last time this year. The trimmer head is finally giving up from all the use since 2011. The electric motor has been going through the 12ah battery charge pretty aggressive this year too. I will probably get one a new motor + trimmer + Forge battery setup when prices get slashed for Black Friday.

my trimmer has the quick reloading head which I find amazing compared to the old style where you have to remove the spring and cap and wind it up, the hold it together and fish the string through while trying to get the cap back on. If you get a new one, I’d highly recommend the quick loading ones.

Yeah, this Milwaukee M18 trimmer has that also. I will not own a trimmer without it now.

Yeah and they last about one mowing season too. Really convenient but frustrating also.
