Well my Google Nest cam shit the bed on me. Or at least I thought it did. Had it plugged in charging overnight Saturday. When I put it back up Sunday it lasted for about two hours and was dead again. Took it back down and couldn't get it to charge at all. So yesterday I ordered a bunch of new Reolink cameras. I had been planning on swapping over to Reolink for a while and just hadn't got around to it. Picked up the floodlight cam, a PTZ for the back yard, the doorbell camera, and a couple of bullet cameras that I'm not exactly sure what I'm going to do with yet. Of course as soon as I ordered them my Nest camera sent a notification to my phone saying it was fully charged and has been working fine for the last 16 hours or so. So I'm getting a solar panel for it and installing it at my MIL's house. Hopefully the solar panel will keep the battery topped off even if the battery is starting to have problems. And it will make it where I don't have to go over there once a month or so and take it down and charge it for her.

Oh and the plumbing is finally getting fixed. Procrastinating really paid off this time. Ended up getting a huge discount on it. They should start tunneling and trenching once the next set of storms blow through this coming weekend.

I have Ring cameras around the outside of the house, 7 of them, all are solar powered. So far zero issues. I have the gutter mounts for the camera and panel. Have not had them through a wind storm though.

Had to throw up this gate real quick so my last section of unfinished fence wasn't visible. The guy next to my neighbor is a bleeding heart liberal with a mentally unstable wife and they called the city on my neighbor whose building a pergola and pizza oven because they're mad that my neighbor fixed some broken fence slats on the non-permitted fence that the liberal put up by himself (I can't make this shit up lol). So a city inspector has been snooping around (we live on the far edge of town where they never pass by). Makes me glad that we have the large gate so the city can't just walk onto our property.

Another reason to live outside city limits if at all possible. Liberal neighbors are the worst; right up there with having family for neighbors.

I’ve got at least one good neighbor. The guy right next me teaches concealed carry classes and has more guns in his kitchen than I have in my house. The lady on the other side of me is some old blonde cunt that works for the school system and seems to like scissoring.

Trenching and tunneling done. Plumbing tomorrow and Thursday. Inspection Friday. Backfill Saturday. Ready to have this shit done and not have to worry about it for the next 7 years.

Plumbing is done! Hopefully I never have to spend another penny on plumbing in this house. There's exactly 0 cast iron pipe in my sewage lines and there's only a total of about 25ft of sewage pipe under my house at all (5ft for each shower drain and 15ft for AC drain). Everything else is run outside the foundation. Cleanup crew is coming tomorrow as well as the leak down test and inspection. Saturday the excavation crew will be here to backfill and pour concrete for the driveway. Plumber is coming back one day next week to replace the bricks that had to be cut out. The crew went above and beyond. They basically cleaned my whole bathroom and laundry room. They cut and capped a bunch of stuff that was no longer needed and they got rid of all but one of the studor vents that the last company put in and got everything back on the roof vents. Going to be weird taking a shower without 3" of water building up in the shower pan and not having to make anymore trips to the laundromat. Well there will be a couple because I still have money left on my laundromat card. Just glad to have this shit (not literally, thankfully) behind us.

Finally trimmed out the inside of my large bay window that I put in. I still need to caulk it and paint it.

We did a weekend of storage improvements around the house. First, replaced an old storage rack that was not a good usage of space and the cats had way to much fun using it. A proper closed shelving unit with lockable doors is perfect for that space and need. Second, we put down three sheets of OSB in the attic to expand the usable space for storage. The storage rack was split and relocated up there. This brings to third, expanded open space in the garage as seasonal items are now easily stored in the attic.

And the last upgrade is a locking cabinet in the gun room for additional storage to get items off the floor.
