That's Mr Asshole to you
i just bought a stealth cam today to use to hopefully figure out the patterns of all the dam hogs back home so we can kill em all. whats the best setting to use to make it last for at least 7 days? i put the camera on 2 stars & 1mn dead time w/ it on setting A... is there a better setting i need to use to get the best out of this cam?

The cams we use are stealth cams. I am not sure what the settings are but they have been taking 3000-4000 pics over 6 weeks or so on the same set of batteries. I think the dealy is 30 or 60 seconds between pics once it is triggered. dont worry about the battery life, they last A LOT longer than 7 days. Make sure you have a big enough memory card. We are running 1 gig cards in all of the cams.

We don't have stealth cams but whatever we have we just hooked a 6v up with a solar charger and don't have to worry about the batteries dying. May work with a stealth cam?

Yeah it should, they have those for feeder batteries too. I was just telling dad on Sunday he needed one for his feeder.

Finding a way..
Alright fellas, I'm going hog hunting in Ok this fall (first time), with my .223, what weight of bullet do ya'll reccomend? I am thinking .77gr. Black hills for the punch they have, but would something lighter work? I amy take my .308 out as well.

That .223 will work fine in the 100-200 yrd range (that's what my dad uses) I'm not sure on the grain he uses but I shoot 45 grain out of my .204 and they don't seem to like it very much. The .308 would deff be good to bring if you run up on a 300lb plus hogg because they start getting that armored layer pretty thick around that size especially the boars.

We wanted an HMR but decided on the HM2 for a few different reasons. It's just going to be used to wound some pigs anyway.

Hogs are a pest and most get left were they fall, shooting them with a smaller round means they run off and die on your neibors place instead.

What Keith said. I'm not going to eat all the hogs I shoot and I don't want to drag them off. Shoot them in the stomach with a .22 or .17 and they run off and bleed out and die in the creek bed. If it's one that I plan to eat I'll shoot it with the .257.

Exactly, if it over 100lbs it's trash. Unless you bag a big ass Boar, then you just need the head for euro mount.
