Whatever it was it was not scared by me or my fire. When I was off grabbing wood it walked right through my camp. Stopped to check out my hammock and the fire pit. Next day when I woke up I was surrounded by tracks.

Scavengers and they can be little thiefs at campsites

Must be used to campers leaving food around, because he should't pick up a scent from my camp. Pretty much bear proof my camp regardless of where I go just to get into good practice. Only things in my cooler were to keep them from freezing (beer & water). All my food is dehydrated and vacuum packed at the factory. About the only things that may have a food scent were in my car (cooking bowl & spork). As soon as I eat the meals out of the bags I trash or burn the bags.

Got to hunt at @thekidcatcher ranch this weekend. Had a blast as usual. Jason got this sow with his .223. She got up and ran after getting shot, so Jason tracked her down and shot her point blank with his .45. The bullet went through her, hit a shoulder and came out on the side damn near intact(Jason still has it I believe). I ended up putting a round into her head with my .223.

She was a fatty bitch for sure!

This little owl came out and watched me clean meat for awhile. I tried to feed the owl but he/she wasn't having it crappy camera pic, it was actually dark outside.

Up near Muenster. It's just over 60 acres but there is some other family land on both sides that we can access and hunt but can't set up any stands or feeders. The additional property is another 150 acres.

That's not far from the metroplex at all. Looks like some pork needs harvesting

Took the family to the lease today. I left a few things last weekend that I had to get. Took the boy fishing and let him shoot the .410 at an empty beer can.
He didn't like holding them but he sure enjoyed catching them.

It was a good morning. Hit the water about 6:00 and had 5 limits of hybrid by 7:00. Spent the rest of the morning catching sand bass and a few catfish.
