Wow, sounds like a great trip! Good luck and have fun. I guess if I was hunting all of that stuff, I'd bring an arsenal too. Even on my elk hunt, I brought three guns. A long range 270 wsm for dawn and dusk stake outs, a brush buster 45-70 for pushing through the black timber, and a side arm for just in case. Its not just Texans. However, that is some funny shit.

Same here, I always thought it would be cool to take a hartebeest. I know thats not one most people think of when you talk about Africa but it and Eland are two I would go after.
