Went dove, pig and Coyote hunting up in Northwest Texas this past weekend. We rented PVS-14's binos, helmets and thermal scopes.

There was absolutely nothing moving other than deer on the three nights we hunted my buddy's lease (2,000+ acres) which was nuts. Full moon too. I guess there was plenty of food and water since it's been raining more than normal there. We also didn't stay out all night since I was still wore out from working on my houses the past three days. I only went on this because I had too much money into it that I couldn't get back and I didn't want to waste it. Plus I really wanted to go hunting

We got 37 dove the first night and 36 the next night between all of us.

I made a mistake the first day and used a brand new Briley choke that I wasn't familiar with. I swapped it out that night and went back to my choke that I've used since I got the shotgun and was able to down more birds. Now I know and won't do that again

Yeah, I needed the trip more than I thought. Nothing better than watching nature with a drink and a gun.

I also forgot to add that we had a $10 bet going to whoever could land a dove in the boat. Nobody won the bet

I have a friend that shoots a recurve and he bust my balls all the time about my compound. Calls it training wheels. No matter how long between shooting, I can pull it out, draw, put pin on target and the arrow goes right where its supposed to.
Go shoot a few times the next 2 days and smash that buck. He will look good on the wall next to your other.

I plan to do some doe management Saturday morning. Thinking 6-10 does is what we will end up harvesting this year. Got a nice 10 point on camera that has been showing EVERY day and begging for my son to put a tag on him.

Well good luck. I filled my feeder and dropped new batteries in my camera. Have not touched either since probably February/March. Couldn't find my spare SD car to swap in, so no idea when it stopped taking pictures etc.
