I've never actually bow hunted just target shot in my front yard. I set up a bowstand this year though. Gonna try to get a doe to make some jerky out of.

I might know a little something about archery.
Don't hunt though never had the heart for it. Spent a lot of time growing up helping my dad setup feeders and stands and what not.

Keith, maybe someday you'll get rid of those training wheels and get a recurve or longbow in your hands ;)

lol...I happen to have a recurve thank you very much...just nowere to do any hunting with it (too much under brush and tree at my lease) I do use it to keep down the armadillo and rabbit pop around my place and at teh lease.

Eww Keith. Alright 150 yards. You with a bow, me with my weapon of choice lol

Deal, but I get to have cover and you have to stay in the open (and use blanks)

NFAA 5 spot shot at 20yrds. Perfect score is 300 with 60xs. My personal best is 300 with 43xs.
Best officially recorded is a 298/35xs (Name is under MFSL). I also won State that year and placed 4th in South Regional under NAA. All with a months worth of practice after not shooting for 15yrs. I shoot a FITA standard target recurve.

I hate to brag... but Archery is the only natural gift I was born with... so you can imagine my disappointment when I made it thru puberty and found out that I had neither a big dick or sexual prowess... FU! genetics...

Lol....nice man
Yeah after I picked up the bow there was no looking back, i have a brand new gun that I bought about 3yrs ago and I bet I've only shot it about a dozen times.

Ok, this new bow site kicks ass! It only took me 5 min to get it tuned to 10yrds, then I stepped back to 20yrds and it was on with the top pin too.
At 30 I had to drop to 2nd pin, continued this all the way out to 60yrds busting the bulls eye. Not too bad considering I have not shot it since January. I managed to shoot the fletching off one of my arrows at 20yrds, kinda pissed about that guess it's time to switch back to practicing with one arrow at a time.

This why we shot 5 spot. Cool the first time.. then it gets expensive.

It's a bit dusty... done this many of times.. but this one was the coolest. Enjoy ;)

Nice Robin hood man, i have a nock on my key chain that I hit from 50yrds...pretty sure that was all luck but I kept it anyway..lol

Most folks nowadays either use pin nocks or beiters... Which are nearly impossible to robinhood. The shafts with tappers and standard glue on nocks are surprisingly easy to robinhood.

Carbon shafts are interesting... when they first starting coming out along with overdraws this happened a lot.. if wasn't the hand it was the forearm...

Yeah that nock i have didn't even bust, the field tip hit right in the split and just slid past into the target.
The worst is sighting in broadheads and shaving of your fletchings, that why I started just using one arrow plus you get some exercise walking back and forth to the target.

Very impressive!

I'm sure you guys have seen "Extreme marksman" on the History channel (I think). they had a dude Robinhooding with a long bow. Same dude shot an arrow through a wedding ring and he hit a Life Saver in mid-air.
