Sean, I have worked with a number of organizations in an attempt to be part of the solution. Little known fact that I have volunteered with homeless and battered women's shelters dating back to the early 90s. Those encampments are worse than most would believe. As they say, you are and will become what the 5-7 closest people you encounter/friends/exposed to... If Austin functions like CA, those encampments and failure to enforce laws will not end well. I have worked with 2 different DAs and they both have and had 7-9 drug diversion programs - that now virtually go unused since in CA you only get a ticket for anything including stealing less that $1000, heroin, meth, etc... and if you claim to be illegal, it's like you have diplomatic immunity.

I hope they have enough mental hospitals to house the mental illness we are cultivating.
