Yeah, I think NJ and CA don't need the Fed handout because they do fine taking it from the people who live in their state. To some extent I agree with that.. hey Florida want to spend your tax dollars on a fleet of electric submarines for tourism (sounds like fun IMO :) )... awesome.. just don't expect federal dollars to do so. Hey CA want to spend your tax dollars on homeless camps and encouraging people to shit in the street.. fine.. don't expect federal tax dollars to help. So yeah, I think that is great!! But those states also think its good to take your money and then tell you (in great detail) what you can and cannot do and how you should live and on on on... and when you think they are done they add some more. You know.. because of the children.

I read up on it a little more today and it's not as cut and dry as I suspected. While NJ may not ask for Fed handouts - that does in no way mean we are fiscally responsible or carry a good credit rating. Our gubment employee pension fund has been getting raided, robbed, and underfunded for many years. So much so that it is our #1 budget item. Guess thats what you get when the state is one of the top 5 employers in the state.

All our issues will disappear as soon as our new gubner is in office :thumbup:

He said he's going to fund "everything".....so in reality I should be happy my taxes are going to skyrocket due to this douchecanoe
