So sad when that happens. ...ESPECIALLY WHEN they could dod a short sale or sell it, pay the money that was owed and take money with him. I had a friend who's brother easily lost 500k or more in a similar situation. If you want to talk about it call me.My brother is moving into a town house and purging all his tools. Got a ton of goodies for free this weekend. He didn't even tell me he was moving. Calls me up asking if I can fix a flat in his minivan and when I stopped by he loaded my car with stuff. When I got home I went online to see what he was selling the house for because he was acting funny when I asked..... he's not selling itSeems the foreclosure monster is getting him and it's selling for 1/3 of what he owes. I didn't bring it up. If he wanted to talk about it he would. Guess he didn't plan enough for his new kid and his other kid going to a great college a year early then following it up with medical school.

1/16' over 10'! You should've sent that sucker back! The Dewalt laser I bought a couple months ago is being passed down to a guy in our shop. I can't see the red in daylight. Ended up buying a Stabila LAX300G. It's got a green laser and is "supposed" to be much more accurate (1/8" over 50'). The Dewalt I had was out 1/16" over 10'.
Ive had a Stabila laser measuring tool for 7 months now and it's been great and remained 100% as accurate as day 1.

I should of ~ Ive not been super happy with it. Magnet is weak, laser is weak, and it's freaking HUGE and HEAVY. Still a step up from the Bosch throw away POS lasers they used to buy here. One drop and they were broken because of lacking locks on the mirrors.
I ended up working a deal with the boss. I bought the new one on the company CC (about $100 more than my DeWalt) and I am just giving my old one to our shop guy. I also got him past the point of using Bosch as the go to manufacturer in our shop for lasers. Someday hopefully Ill start getting $$$Hilti$$$ in the door. Always liked their tools, but their repair/replacement/warranty service is where I though they really excelled.
BTW - you ever see a line laser witht he vert and horiz turned on at night when drunk in a blizzard? Homemade laser light show for sure.
what is this snow you speak of?All due respect but that is part of the issue. The one I spoke of was the same thing.... "...it's my brother's issue, not mine."Thanks for the offer, but I'm not even supposed to know. If he ever opens up Ill offer some advice.

Hilti is the shit! Wish I could afford their tools.
Kinda sounds like you need to start your own company...Had some last Friday. Local gubment was brine-ing streets yesterday...no idea why because it should be 77* here this Friday. Back to lows in the 30's during the week though.
Same here, this company is not large enough or profitable enough to go buying Hilti right now. Need to get infrastructure in place first. Just hired a real IT firm and got an actual server in this place yesterday.

I know it is not my business but if you could give him a gift of $100k (in my friend's case, much more) and have his credit return in a few years verses 7, would you? Once again, all due respect but I want to shake people when they see the house is burning, they have a hose and the ability but they just let it burn. Financial fears later in life can be crippling. Financial disasters later in life can destroy you.

You have to keep a short leash on those IT guys, don't trust them.![]()
If we met you would quickly scrap that idea...........unless there is big market demand from blind women who like a 2 pump chump![]()
