I have a corded one already in the shop but it's slide switch instead of paddle switch. And I fucking hate it. I like the Milwaukee cordless but I figure at some point I'll forget to charge the battery before class and I'll end up having to run to Lowes between classes and buy a corded one.

I'm just not a fan of super heavy duty cordless tools. They burn through your batteries so fast. For a simple job, yeah its great but for a lot of continues grinding then a cord is the way to go. Otherwise you'll be buying a new $100 battery every few months.

I have three (plug in ones) on my welder cart. Cut off wheel, grinding disc and 60 flap wheel.

This is how I am set up- each need gets a grinder. It makes fab and cleanup time quicker not having to spend time switching discs.

I have Milwaukee batteries 5 years old and work fine. But they are not cheap.

Well this one won't see heavy duty use I'm not worried about it. Plus it was free (kinda) so I'm not too worried about it.

Yeah I've burned up 2 big DeWalt batteries by using the saw constantly.

Oh I do. Which is why I also know that if my job is willing to reimburse me for school supplies, I'm going to take advantage! It's the least they could do since they came in and cut everybody's pay by 30% and took away all overtime. Hope the rumors of them selling out next month is true.

In DeWalt's defense, those batteries got USED.

LOL.. I have had one Milwaukee battery die on me. I think it was defective from the get go. It died within a month or so. Took it back and they replaced it.

Yeah, I'm wondering if you can pop the batteries apart, order new cells online and replace em yourself for cheaper than buying a new one??

I saw these the other day in a maintenance thread. Pretty sweet! I'll pick up a set when my money tree takes off again.

Nice. I had every excuse in the book to get those 90* offsets for a ratchet on the Bimmer project but the, it-will-only-delay-this-project answer screamed at me.

If the pricing is fair, you will find gold bars inside. :)

Yeah I wanted to get em now but the $100 price tag scared me away for now.

Nice. I love my GearWrench stuff. I've been looking at a set of their stubby ratchet wrenches.

I have those, they are nice to have. I need to get a couple socket racks for them. Since they are in the case I forget I have them and just grab a standard socket out of the drawer 90% of the time I need one.

I'm hoping my issue with the car is a vacuum leak. I've been watching a few videos on home brew smoke machines. This one seems to make sense. Anyone tried this before?

I really wanted to get a set of those but I didn't want to spend that much. I ended up getting two sets of husky stubbies at home depot and they've worked fine so far (I really needed them at the time).
