Ordered one of these today. It's a rebranded Irontron reel from Northern Tool. This one is cheaper and actually in stock, just under a different name. It's a 12AWG, 65' electric reel with a three-way plug.

Picked up a Tektron torque wrench because I needed one high enough to torque the CV axle nut. My other torques wrench only goes to 150ft.pds. I was going to buy the Gearwrench torque wrench but it looked like an exact copy of the much cheaper Tektron wrench.

anyone read anything lately on 12v portable air compressors? looking for something small/cheap to throw in my Subaru for flats. Plug kits worthless without Co2 and I picked up another screw in my tire at work this week. I remember years ago there were a few $30-50 ones people raved about. Ive been out of the 4x scene for a while...well besides here

Ahh.. the red one. Don't recall the name but before I got my Oasis compressors I used it and it was great. Damn I can't recall the brand. about $50.

What's the spec on the axle nuts? I always just tighten them but not too tight because I used to do more trail swaps than I would like to admit!

Front axle nuts are spec'd at 174 ft/lbs on my '01 4Runner.

The MV50 gets great reviews. I picked this one up from the same company since I couldn't find a decent price on the MV50 at the time.

Yeah, 175 ft/lbs is what I put mine at.

Something tells me I would survive at 150 . Also, my lower torque level probably brinelled my wheel bearing so that I was able to travel back from the Sierras and about 5,000 more miles without an Axle on that one side.

I wore one out fast by not torquing to spec. Just FYI. Mine was maybe 125ish??... got lazy and didn't use the torque wrench.

35k on my last one. Fingers crossed. I thought I needed on my last long distance trip but it was an outer tie rod. I will tighten soon.

Not yet; I was not home yesterday and I still need to get a few things done before I can start using it. I need to have a new plug dropped in the garage and pick up a bottle of 75/25 for it.
