I haven't been a big fan of the Klutch stuff I've bought. The ratchets have been alright but their ratchet wrenches have been terrible.

I've loved all my Kobalt stuff except for screwdrivers. They're decent but I prefer the Klein because that's what I use for work everyday. I like that Kobalt set. I plan to buy it when I have the space.
No ratchet wrenches in that Klutch set. I have some Gearwrenchs that will stay in the garage tool box.

Yep. And there's a place importing them to the US now. A couple people have them in GX's now.

I was wondering why the text didn't show up the first time. So I resent it. Guess I know why now lol. Not drunk, just at work dealing with a bunch of bullshit.

I like the 5S aspect of that Kobalt set

I am wanting to replace my tools in the garage. Then put my existing wrenches and ratchets in a few tool rolls I can toss in the truck and keep my garage tools organized. Any of yall have other suggestions on tool sets and or tool boxes that I should look at?

Looking at this set Klutch Mechanic's Tool Set — 305-Pc., 1/4in.-, 3/8in.- and 1/2in.-Drive, SAE and Metric | Northern Tool + Equipment

This one also caught my eye since I am also wanting a new tool box to keep things more organized. Shop Kobalt 347-Piece Standard (SAE) and Metric Mechanic's Tool Set with Hard Case at Lowes.com

Out Of all the snap on tools I have, their ratchets are in a league of their own. I have replaced every single ratchet i have with snap on. Until you use one you cant appreciate how much nicer they are

You're preaching to the wrong person about Snap On.

I actually have a Snap on pry bar. Pretty sure Kobalt and Snap On are the the same or really close to it.
I'm not spending $100 on a single ratchet.

Kobalt is owned by the same parent company. I will say that Snap On ratchets are insanely nice. Especially the 120 tooth ones or whatever they are. But they're just not worth the money for someone who is a hobbyist.

Next time yall are working on vehicles let me know and I'll bring mine over, or we can do it here. They will make you a believer.

Every one of these 3/8 ratchets have had a 4' cheater bar on them at one point and lived to tell the tale. Even have a kobalt in there for you to compare against.

Ive got a little bit of everything in here. Except 10mm....

@achirdo I am actually wrenching on mine right now but no real need for a ratchet. Just doing the roof rack and the electric impact made quick work of the 8 bolts holding the factory rack on.

Used to work at a high end machine shop when I got out of high school and one of the guys there showed me the difference between a Snap-on and a Craftsman set. We took a 1/4" Snap On drive with the 1/2" conversion on it, put a long cheater bar on it, stuck it on a seized bolt and then he stood on it. Nothing happened. Then we took a 1/2" Craftsman breaker bar, stuck it on the same seized bolt and stood on it. The Craftsman bar sheared at the head and broke.

So I know and fully understand the difference between the two...but I'd still never pay those prices. lol Also, have you used a Cresent set before? The controls and design are damn near the same as the Fap-On's and I've beat the living hell out of my set.

Check out the Cresent sets. I love the plastic case they come in because they are low profile as well.

I got a couple Northern Tool coupons in the mail the other day. Saved them because they are decent, but no Northern Tools around me. Yours if you want them.
