I was checking the Milwaukee tool boxes the other day at my local contractor supply. They seem like some stout stuff.

Tell you one thing....like Rock Auto if you don't buy them while they are on sale you are getting hosed bad. Things seem to always be on sale up here.

Ive got a Milwaukee heavy duty corded drill and corded sawzall......both are 10+ years old and have taken a commercial beating and keep on ticking.

I almost got myself a set last night. Had to take off my screen door and disassemble my fridge so I can get it out the front door. Down to only 1 DeWalt 18v battery left out of my kit I bought 14+ years ago. Charged two last night but only one made it. 99% sure Ill be going M18 Fuel when I do get a set. See what black friday deals are around. Broke the budget this month on new kitchen appliances. BTW - I felt like a total dirt ball after yanking my fridge out of it's cubby after it's been in there for 15 years. Never seen so much dust.

I pull mine out about once a year-ish and clean up all the vents and coils and such. It's on wheels so it's super easy.

Good idea I'm sure I should of been doing. Swapping door swings solo now on the new one and I'm lucky it has nice wheels. Ill have to add it to my maintenance list. Prob clean it when I do my lint traps. I'm sure the neglect can't be good. Wonder what else Ive been forgetting to do for decades lol

Let's see.. smoke detector batteries, change A/C air filter every 3 months, drain your water heater once a year, yearly termite/bug inspection...what else am I forgetting? lol

It counts if your water heater sprung a leak from the top and dumped 80 gallons of water into your garage right?

There should have been an over flow pan with pipe exiting the house, can't tell you how many times I have seen that 90% of hot water heaters in attics are not installed correctly

Speaking of water heaters; mine is 11 years old now. I have done a full drain a few times but it has not been on a good schedule. Lately I have been debating replacing it with a new one. I figure it is better to replace it on my schedule instead of waiting for an emergency and I can upgrade to a more efficient unit to save a little monthly bill cash.

Meh, most of those checkups are a joke. Just blow out or vacuum your coil and make sure your unit outside is clear of debris. Also, pour some bleach down your AC drain at least once a year to kill all the bacteria buildup in the PVC line.

My Milwaukee M18 drill today started sparking inside the motor area and then draining a battery charge within three holes using a step bit. We will see what Milwaukee says about it when I send it in later this week. I did not buy this drill/impact set from Home Depot otherwise I would just take it there and exchange it.

Many years ago when building the old trail rig I was drilling a shit load and overloaded a Milwaukee drill... magic smoke escaped. But the damn thing still works like new.

Well we are talking about what "should you do". I've been in this house 5 years since its been built and never done it. :(:facepalm:o_O:buenrollo: I will do it next Spring though.

Leak was from the flex hose, it shot a stream out. No pan was gonna catch that lol

Created the RMA ticket yesterday afternoon. Now I am curious how they are going to fix it or if they are just going to send back a new one.

Does anyone know anything about fiber optic testing equipment made by fluke industries? Wife's dad found a case full of the stuff on the side of the road. Looked up the equipment and it's well over 100k worth of stuff. Trying to figure out how to get it back to its rightful owner @tx_shooter @Oswego @Anathollo

That is some expensive stuff! You can call Fluke and have them look up the registered owner of the equipment by the serial number. That kind of hardware gets registered immediately.
