Agreed. One of the few Milwaukee tools I don't like. Bought one and it lasted a week I think. Had another one rip the blade. Fatmax all the way.

Really? I love mine. Fat Max is the longest lasting but that flex tape is so damn handy with tight corners. It's what I've been using for two years.
The DeWalt tapes are garbage...

I guess if you need it to flex it does just that. But I'm normally just measuring in a straight line, and I need it stiff.. like my dick.

I normally just step outside and not worry.. but the tape measure lets me put a piece of blue tape on the tile and then just "wing it". Wife does seem to yell in the middle of the night when the floor is wet. Sorry.. it was cold last night. Fuck.. women. They just don't get it.

I like the fat max but they do suck then you try and measure inside corners and you need to bend the tape 90*. Last week my batteries in my laser measuring tool were dead so I had to measure a 57" header that was 8' above the ground. Had to hold the dumb end of the tape to the soffit/wall with a roll of blue prints in my left hand while flexing the smart end 90* in my right then squinting to read/guess what dimension it was on the bent tape. Got so used to using my laser and measuring stick for that stuff I forgot how much using a tape measure for accurate dimensions suck in those applications.

Yea they are the Bentley of tools for sure. I miss my old Hilti stuff. The guys here were buying their chemical anchors through a middle man - once I heard that I put it to a stop and got an account opened. Doubtful this owner will ever allow us to buy the best tools possible. I'm just glad I weaned him off Bosch lasers when I could. The Stabila lasers have been 10X better IMHO. I don't miss my old DeWalt laser either. Green is where it is at. Only thing now is I need to be careful playing with it at night outdoors so I don't tag any aircraft. Soon as I turn it on it throws a line 180* up into the sky and also a dot laser strait up into the sky.
