I've heard horror stories about Rigid's warranty return process.

Also, out of the majority of tools I see out in the field, I'll see a subcontractor with Rigid drills and then on the next job they do for me they'll have new Dewalt or Milwaukee drills then. That says a lot about those tools. When it comes to Ridgid, I usually only buy their plumbing tools.

Also, I'm finding that you can piece together "tool kits" on Amazon and come out a little cheaper than buying them as one whole set from the Homeless Despot. So add a couple of batteries, a battery charger and then the bare tools that you want to your Amazon cart. Then you can go compare it to the home depot website with tax.
This ^. Dewalt for cordless if they are going with you in the truck, Snap-on for the shop box.

I don't understand how the expansion and contraction differential of the two products doesn't lead to cracked welds....

Snap on power tools are a rip off IMO. Honestly think Milwaukee makes a better power tool than snap on.

Disclaimer--I have a ton of snap on shit in all my boxes
Yeah I’m gonna disagree with ya on that. lol

Fixed my DeWalt 16 gauge nail gun. Had to order a new trigger air assembly for $15 off Amazon. It was easier repair than I was expecting it to be.

You can kinda see the two seals where they failed.

Pieced this together on Amazon for ~$170. Saved quite a bit piecing it together instead of buying a new set. This is the older 1st Gen 1/4" ratchet but I got the newer 2nd Gen batteries. I got the older style because it was quite a bit cheaper and the head on it is way smaller so I can get into tighter spaces. I read quite a few mechanics forums and the majority of them liked or preferred the 1st Gen.

I have one of those, also in 1/4". I like it. I want to get another in 3/8ths.

So if I use this one a lot and like it, I'm gonna pick up the 2nd Gen 3/8" ratchet. I already have a DeWalt 3/8" impact so that's why I got the 1/4". I could've used this tool yesterday when I has to pull a bolt out underneath my fridge to get the drip pan out.
I'm also thinking of getting the small M12 drill for my wife. She doesn't like the weight of my DeWalt drill and asked if they made smaller tools. :)

I was at Harbor Feight today, I swear all those drills and what knots they sell are clones of Milwaukee brand.

I love my M12 Fuel combo set. Just used the drill to punch a 7/8ths hole in the side of my trailer. :)

+1 for the M12 set. That drill set has become my preferred go to drill for work and around the house. It handles the vast majority of stuff with ease.

Good brand to copy.

Some of their items are good. Their electric torque wrenches always rate good. I bought a few just to check my manual torque wrenches at my last job. At my current job we torque nothing to spec so it would just be wasted money.

Picked up a tube of this grease for my poly control arm bushings and a dedicated grease gun for it.

I got a tube of it for my new TC LCA's and UCA's because TC recommends it. Then I heard one guy was saying it washes out real quick. All I know is my old TC UCA's got 30k on them with minimal if any bushing wear using Mobil1. If the new sets start wearing I will not be happy.

Also used it in my rebuild of the GT Mach one I did a few months ago. So far so good on the bike but I rarely use it and don't submerge or get the grease wet when I use it.

I rebuilt my Camburg upper control arms and I regreased with this stuff that they sent in the package. It is DA BOMB! I haven't had to re-grease my uniballs since then (although I'll grease em again here pretty soon).
