Been thinking I should update my torque wrench lately. The HF one has done me just fine, but only goes up to 150 ft-lbs.

Husky 50-250 ft. lbs. 1/2 in. Drive Torque Wrench-H2DTWA - The Home Depot

I'm leaning toward the Husky for a couple reasons. First, I think Husky will be around longer to honor the lifetime warranty. I kind of think that Sears will disappear in my lifetime lol.

I used to be a Craftsman fanboy, but feel like their quality took a nose dive about 10-15 years ago. Haven't been impressed with the few more recent purchases of their equipment; but I've also heard that they have made improvements. I'm also not sure how I feel about the digital aspect. Just seems like something else to fail.

Check out the GearWrench torque wrenches. I have a couple of TekTon torque wrenches.

When I was running a door manufacturing facility I bought my techs Craftsman because they are cheap to replace and had a good warranty. Ive also had sears manual torque wrenches for my entire adult life and they hold up ok if treated properly. All of mine are within a few inch or ft pounds of where they should be.

Regardless of what you buy, they need to be taken care of well and tested regularly for accuracy if torquing important or low resistance items. I test mine with a Harbor Freight digital torque adapter that tested great by consumer reports.

My 250+ are all Snap-on, but I have a Kobalt one from Lowes that works well and a few craftsman ones I’ve never had issues with they are older models though.

Won't be long before sears goes away, but craftsman got sold to Stanley Black & Decker and will be sold at Lowes.

Not that I would buy craftsman right now, I would wait a couple years. SBD said they are going to finish up the existing manufacturing contracts in Asia then transition to US manufacturing at some point down the road

Yep, the writing has been on the wall for Sears every since they hired a CEO that specializes in shutting down and breaking apart corporations for profit.

Ended up ordering a bunch of tools that I've been going without since I started wrenching on my truck. But after the past couple of days, I've been fed up with not having them.

Ordered a GearWrench 1/2" Deep socket set with SAE & Metric combo kits (I already have a shallow set), GearWrench 2-ton & 5-ton puller set (because I'm fed up with my Tekton puller where you need five hands to hold it in place to use it). Ordered a GearWrench Front service kit (for when I work on other people's cars. Namely my nephews trucks and cars lol). And lastly, a GearWrench ball joint separator. This is the one I'm most excited about using on my Tacoma.

Also had to order a new grease gun nozzle as mine got completely seized up on a grease zerk. I've never had that happen before. And since I can't find my grease zerk replacement kit, I had to order another set. I think one of my brothers has my kit. Frustrating when you can't find something you own  lol
