Just special ordered a tool from a Norwegian. ETA 4 months.

Their "vat" (Tax) on exports is supposed to be 25%, yet my invoice only shows 4.4% tax. Hopefully I don't get hit with a COD import duty at delivery. I'm not really all that concerned either way because I know I'm getting the best from the best.

Maybe they keep getting voted the happiest country on earth because of their export tax's Smiling to the bank

I picked up a Milwaukee M12 Ratchet in prep for my starter replacement. I was going to decide between the standard M12 ratchet and the FUEL ratchet but my local Home Depot only carries the standard all the time. According to the tool dept guy there they only order a handful of the FUEL tools at a time and they all sell out immediately. I asked him why they do not order more and he just stared at me. Oh well; guess I will order my FUEL tools online.

Either way I have a ratchet now.

I have some HD gift cards and I hope to get a 12v Fuel 3/8ths ratchet. I have the Fuel 1/4" and its great. I may have to wait some time to get it if they follow the same guidelines to order tools.

I checked the online stock for other stores; they had the ratchets in stock. Apparently the local store is less than average.

Well I just checked and "supposedly" my local HD has 2 3/8th's Fuel 12v in stock. We'll see Thursday.

My last order was a big M18 multi kit w/roller pack box so I just had it delivered to my local HD to avoid any porch pirate BS and I picked it up there.

Never had a porch pirate, but it's not like they re-boxed the order ~ Big ass 3' x 4' box with marketing junk all over it in bright red so I didn't want to invite a robbery

yesterday I learned that Milwaukee and Ridgid are both made by TTI.

As someone, I think @Oswego posted, Ridgid is owned by Emerson. I didn't know that only the Ridgid hand tools are made by Emerson. The name is leased out to TTI and they produce all the power tools. Rule of thumb if the Ridgid color is red, it's made by Emerson (possibly in the USA). If the color is orange, it's made by TTI (possibly in Hong Kong).

Well HD online said they had 2 in stock.. they did not. I talked to the guy who worked in the tool section and he said he had been there 6 months and the amount of theft was incredible. He said he had everything cabled up to prevent theft. But he said he would hand a tool to someone and they would run out the door! Anyhow, I will buy it online and pickup in the store. I'm not fast enough to steal nor am I a thief.

That's how my local HD does it as well. I try to go when they first open to avoid the masses otherwise it's a sh*t show
