Tools!

Some dinners require tools, just saying.

Fried okra from garden, crabs from a trap, fish caught on reel and deer shot from big iron, free beer from tractor work, genuine homestead meal here all from various tools in the shed.

Life is good.

How many you got on order lol

Shit don't tell me you didn't order 10 for your shop and a spare for your house. But these soy-bois will buy them. Even the Milwaukee with the bluetooth shit.. just dumb. Not even sure they make those any more.

That drill is interesting, but the marketing is way too....trendy. It will be interesting to see if any of the "real" drill manufacturers start offering some of those features.

The one thing they forgot to add was a stud finder. But maybe that is a safety feature so that some idiot doesn't accidentally drill himself (or his boyfriend) when pretending he found a stud.

Props to Mil for making advancements in tape measures.

This is the backside of one of their new models and it has vertical measurements. Amazing no one else did that a loooooooong time ago. Sometimes the simplest ideas are the easiest to overlook.

The architectural scale is a waste but I guess someone will use it - just not sure who.

also glad they didn't junk it up with fractions for tards who skipped 3rd grade basic math. I h8 tapes with fractions - they always screw me up because they put the text huge and the lines small

Theres been several companies with vertical measurements. Not sure it makes it anymore convenient though. I know my Kobalt tape I bought a few years ago has it.

Thats good to know - first I have seen it. I haven't used one but tiling my head when measuring vertically for windows and doors sucks so not having to twist my head to read it seems like it would be cool. That said it's on the backside so that might not even work good fro what I'm thinking it might.

Truth be told if I need to use a tape measure on one of my jobs I'm not happy. I prefer to eliminate variables and sometimes have very long runs of glass so my Stabila laser measure'r is always my #1 choice. It's way more accurate than eye balls and tape measures

Picked up this Baldor 8107wd on a FB marketplace find. Some rich dude had it for sale, don't look like he ever used it. Scored the grinder with stand for $350! Fucker is heavy at 110 lbs

add to my current stand collection, and I'll never have to swap grinding wheels again I can set each wheel up for a different application.

I could hardly believe it when I saw the price. I knew Baldor made good industrial shit, we have them at all our machine shops at the power plants. Hell even if I was to just resell this, the total cost of this setup new was close to $1500 with the stand, so I can easily make my money back! I'd never shell out that kinda cash for a new bench grinder, but at a discount I sure will bite. I always tell myself, it's not how much I spent it's how much I saved! I guess that's why my 30x60 shop is full after only having it for 4 years lol

Yeah, that is a tool you can pass down to grandchildren.

for sure! A couple more recent purchases I thought I’d share with y’all. Picked up a saw haul for the kubota. Got tired of keeping it in the bucket when I’d go chop something down. Pretty nice little product and also made in the good old US of A!

This came in yesterday. Saw it on a website just browsing and never heard of it before. It’s used for cleaning out cylindrical filters and radiator/condensers. They make them in various lengths, I picked the middle ground at 2’ I’m sure there are a bunch or other possibilities too, can never have too many tools :)

ok damn it, I need one of those saw haul holders, that’s badass, I have a similar air wand with 3 different air ports on the tip of it for cleaning underneath the hood/cooler area, works great on canister filters as well. I did have to locktite the tip because it would loosen up every time, I was afraid it would eventually shoot off one day to never never land.

This requires a drill press, which I don’t have...
