How do you not have a drill press?

great question....I’m not sure, but I don’t usually have to drill through 3/4” steel either.
I have saved a Wen 10”(almost 5 stars out 600 reviews) saved in a couple carts now, will wait till one comes up for sale, during the mean time I will have to use a friends drill press, of course with my own bits.

So it's "G stove" that's had me bent over a barrel since Christmas and when I placed the order then, only 2 items were not in stock. So per their own guidelines and website all products but 2 should of shipped within 2 business days and that wpould of been in January of 2019. After a week of no response I get this BS.

Now IDK if their inventory is "off" or I'm being played, but even my confirmation from December shows what items were in and out of stock back then.

Shit now that I looked back at it all the only item that was not in stock was an extra door I bought just for when the original breaks. WTF G stove. Getting the feeling they are just using my money as a part time $1,200 loan.

Did Relentless Fabrication open up a stove shop in Norway or something? Similar kind of crap that moron pulled on me until I called Fastenall and caught him lying to me. I did just check their website to insure all items were back ordered on there and now they are, but they sure as heck were not when my order was placed 6 months ago.

it is what it is with this weird stuff from small batch suppliers I guess

I sure as heck know now not to buy a tipi from them and I was going to for this winter.

Ordered in January of 2019...... money removed from my account in Jan 2019.......

Following up with them now to see if it ever shipped last month or if we have "more covid delays"

Custom made stainless steel hardware can sometimes take a while & it's not unusual for them to take months on their "stock" items let alone the custom stuff that I ordered.

Not yet at twice the quoted lead time but it's almost there. Just sent them an e-mail. We shall see what they say.

Pretty cool idea, but way too much $$ and I don't like that it telescopes cause I assume within that slide is tolerance for moment

if you see it priced elsewhere it's over $800 - these are my "wholesale" prices (logged in @ work)

:BangHead::bash::facepalm::bentover:

at this point I might as well keep on waiting. Last thing I ever want to do is freeze to death......well burning and drowning are close but freezing is my mental kryptonite

Ive not heard of anyone getting any of their orders that were placed before mine and they had a waiting list & long leadtimes WAY before covid so I believe them.....for now. One more delay and I'm pulling the plug. I refuse to wait a full year for custom anything except maybe a custom race truck lol

Good thing I was proactive and ordered additional wear item parts with my order. If I had to wait a year for parts that wore out I'd be very very very angry.

This is an example of one reason people do not always buy local/American made. While mass produced stuff can be junk it is almost always available quickly for use. Not justifying junk purchases but damn; waiting almost a year for a stove is crazy.

yeah, I think a really good fabricator/welder could have made it locally for a $100-$200 more and done in 3 days, with better quality and stronger

I was fine with 4-5 months (normal leadtime) and I'm actually fine with September shipping. If it's not shipped by then Ill never have it for winter so Ill get a refund so long as the dollar is not in the tanks (international order).

Imagine all the people who aren't proactive like I am by ordering a stove the winter prior to needing it - they have the cheap stoves or freeze lol

I'm highly doubtful, but anything is possible. I subscribe to a Japanese welder who makes stoves by hand on youtube and his stuff is shotty at best compared to the Cadalac of stoves I purchased. That said if I got a stove from jim bob down the street I'd be leary to put it in my tent at night as I sleep

This is just the stove I bought (not the custom accessories)

Finally found me a bunch of locks that have the same key cut.

Since I started subscribing to the lockpickinglawyer on the tube I stopped believing in any locks except for the uber secure

He picks all these in less than 3 min lol

BTW - I still have a few of these exact locks in use right now :bash:

You should be able to order locks off Master Lock's website that can be keyed the same. Or you can just use a hair pin to get em open as well lol

Locks are just made to keep honest person happy.

I know, I was just messing with you. :p

In all seriousness when it's quicker to pick the lock than use the key - all of these big named brands need to get their act together especially Master. Almost every lock I have is a master lock of some sort and all easily defeated by a 10yo. I can pick the Master combo locks I have on my ammo with my eyes closed in less than 20 seconds. You can feel the tumblers fall in place with a little tension on the bolt. This is stuff a child could pick by accident and it's scary for the people who have no clue and think they are protected by a name brand.

Yep, I've thought the same for years. A lot of lock failures are do to loose tolerances (combo locks especially) as well. It's mainly they just don't give a fuck and know you'll buy them because you don't have an alternative anyways.
