So wait. You're going to let a virus that you don't even believe in keep you from going to a place where there is no one to catch it from? I'm confused.
Only it's direct target but we will be wheeling the week away. :) Homeless exemption.

Swapped the snow blower out for a 9hp Honda pressure washer I was supposed to service years ago. New nightly rum fun for "after work" will be getting it back to like new condition.

upload_2020-12-10_17-39-33.png

then after her I need to look at my backpack blower. it's leaking fuel so bad it was getting my leg wet when I would bend over doing my leaves last week.

Tomorrow I need to pick up some fogging oil. Never used it but I would like to avoid future carb cleanings so Ill give it a shot. Who knows the next time Ill use the snowblower or tiller. Already ran them out of "true fuel" after draining the tanks. Did the same to my mower today after the last mow. Even put them on choke and pressed the primer bulbs a bunch at the end when they would start stumbling trying to burn it all off but some always stays in there.

I never knew until last night that you should pull on the cord until you feel the compression at it's greatest so that the head is at the top thus protecting the walls of the cylinder from corrosion. Makes perfect sense so I did that today. When I get the fogger Ill do the same after a quick spray and few "hand" cycles

don't use true fuel, use Seafoam...
@CowboyTaco can tell how good this product is, he knows all about it, haha, Sea Foam Motor Treatment works to stabilize stored fuel up to 2 years.

edit: I was thinking of that fuel stabilize crap, not true fuel, I burn through way too much small engine gas/ 2 stroke gas to use or afford the True Fuel.

I have been stocking the truefuel for SHTF cause it lasts so long. Also to work in new carbs cause it's good quality so less variables to worry about when fine tuning. I don't leave it in there.

I still run normal hightest throughout the season. I almost used the ten gallons I bought pre covid lock down. Had about a gallon of that gas left I just put into a container to recycle cause it's so old now.

I just dump the normal gas in the tank out, pour in some truefuel, run it, then dump the truefuel and winterize. Actually transferred truefuel from the snowblower, to my weed wacker, then to my mower. Mowed my front yard then ran it for another 5 min till it died. Rather have the truefuel in the carb than ethanol

I'm crazy... with every oil change no matter what it is on I always pour some extra in after it has all drained. A little good to wash out the bad lol

I like my OCD though...not like my brother who triple checks locks are locked. My shits kinda practical or so I tell myself

had some high temp primer & paint left over from the Taco's engine bay so I sanded the exhaust down and gave it a few coats today

also hit up some other rust spots on the frame. none of it's needed. this things built like a brick shit house. I forgot how heavy it was until I had to drag it up steps into my house yesterday with flat tires lol. Frames 3/16" steel with a full 1-1/8" tube that goes from the front to back welded to it and prob stronger than most peoples skid plates. I just know my mom will get a kick out of it looking new and being used again. She spent many many days pressure washing docks and boats with it.

use the wrong tool for the task and bad things happen lol

it was already broken - stoped "random" orbiting and went full orbit a few years ago so it swirls everything. second one I blew up of the exact same model, but i beat them both pretty hard (sanded my floors lol).

lifetime warranty is cool, but not if they keep blowing up. I got a Makita last year to replace it for woodwork.

good news is the engine works great. soaked the carb overnight, changed the oil + spark plug, put in some truefuel and she purrs like a kitten.

ran her for about 20 minutes then chanegd the oil again and was then going to change the pump oil.

The engine oil was horrible when I first drained it - same reason I didn't even start it up until I had changed it. $5 in mobil1 to make sure she's nice and clean/flushed is worth it to me.

in the pic I'm just draining the carb so she can be stored but somethings missing.....

bad news is the pumps fubar. leaking from two spots it should not be and getting zero pressure build up. also one of the leaks is water/oil yet the pump oil level is the "perfect" in the window so shes got bad internal leaks for sure. Ill dig into that later...

Figures the Italian part is broken ad the Japanese one's perfect lol

Not sure if this is good news or just more BS from G Stove...... if the ready date is 11/30 and Christmas is 12/25....WTF does that even mean? They take a month to pack items? So confused by her native tongue but just glad I can communicate in English w/them.

December 26th will be one year since I placed the order. BTW - if you want a stove you can get one shipped out today from G Stove USA..... Since I went direct to the HQ in Norway I wait a year.

I'd love to but I want the products. Already got long term plans for them pretty much set in stone

I 'demanded' they ship product for the first time today so we shall see what happens.

Norway has pretty good consumer laws...otherwise I may have handled this differently.

New pump costs $275. New rebuild kits cost $175 if I need to rebuild everything including the ceramic cylinders (They are $$$). If I don't need them the price drops by almost $100.

Ill dig into the pump tonight to see if it can even be rebuilt w/all the hrs and abuse this things taken.

Need to go grab some batteries first, ran out of coin cells and my battery is dead in my calipers. Need some good mechanical ones....

Yep.......I feel like I'm back at work today and I do not like it. My blood is boiling. Just contacted the Norwegian Consumer Council and see if they can help. I also sent G stove another e-mail telling them to "CC" the council on all correspondence.

If this keeps dragging out Ill do a social media marketing campaign and air all their dirty laundry. The entire bushcraft scene thats dealing with these guys has had about enough of their BS. My story could be the match that starts the fire

Also changed my subject title for legal reasons....

You will be the first to know for sure! Ill prob call you when she takes her first breaths lol

I placed an order for some stock and custom stainless steel stove fittings + the stove over a year ago with a Norwegian company. Initial lead times were 4 months. We are 8 months past that. They keep giving me bogus ship dates. Then I find out they have been opening up and supplying new distributors. Orders were shipped in the order placed due to long lead-times when I placed my order (December of 2019). Today you can walk into G Stove USA and walk out same day with a stove. They basically used my money to fund a massive marketing and distributor opening push at the expense of their existing customers. So while Ill be waiting over a year - you could get a stove shipped today.

Thats my side of it....this is theirs and contradicts itself within itself.....

"As for our distributors they also has to place orders ahead and send in forecast so we can plan in productions. They do not cheat the waiting line.
The reason we try to send customers to them is simply to release the pressure on us so we can get ahead quicker and also let customers know that they can avoid our waiting time."

Total poppycock lies..... G stove US had stoves sitting on shelves collecting dust last month and I think they just got a delivery again last week. They have had repeated restocking orders shipped to their distributors for months for new customers. Meanwhile anyone who went factory direct before they were open gets screwed.
