Picked up a small toolbox for smaller tools... things for RC cars and stuff. I really like the quality of this box.

built myself a phone/tablet holder out of some scrap knotty cedar cut offs. w/cutting the cord Ive found myself propping my phone or tablet up in weird spots and then them falling over so before I broke one of them I decided to get some practice in with the new router and build my own stand.

wanted to keep this model KISS and small but as soon as I built it I was already figuring out version 2.o that's bigger and can hold my Samsung wireless charger along with my aux battery and small aux speaker......basically a small portable TV. pics from yesterday after the first coat of mineral oil soaked in. it's already a ton darker since it sat overnight. Ill give it the second/final coat today.

I've had my eye on those offset and half moon wrenches. I don't remember what it was but I was working on something where those would have come in handy. Which means I have to buy them so I have them for the one other time in my life I'll work on that thing.

yeah it was hard to justify the cost for something I’ll probably use a few times to be honest. But I figure that one time it saves me a bunch of cursing and hours of trying to get to a bolt it might be worth it. Plus it never hurts to have options. They are definitely nice quality and should last my lifetime. Their warranty policy and customer service is really good too.

After spending two days looking for my Kizer Sheepdog Mini and writing it off as lost, I ordered a Kizer Gemini. And then the fiance found my Sheepdog Mini in the washing machine about 20 minutes later. I'm really starting to like these Kizer knives though. For the the price, they're hard to beat. This is my 5th one now. Though one of them ended up in the trash after forgetting it was in my pocket and having to throw it away at the entrance to a Rangers game since I didn't want to walk a half mile back to the car. Definitely check them out if you're looking for some high quality affordable knives.

now that I've bought the brake drum/rotor puller I'll probably never get another stuck one in my life lol The terminal tool will be useful though I have to route some wires through the firewall for my new gauge on F350 and need to disconnect them from the connector to avoid drilling a large hole in the firewall or cutting/splicing the wire back together.

What is everyone's thoughts on the various pack out tool boxes. any brand a better deal than another. I have Milwaukee shit so that's the route I'm leaning.

My metal shop table rusts continually... if the side door is open the breeze pretty much blows right across it and when it gets humid the surfaces just rust in no time. I've tried to keep the top wiped down with WD40. Not much help. Anyhow last week I sprayed some Fluid Film on it.. let it sit. Then rubbed it in and then wiped off the excess. So far so good. I've left a few adult sodas on it without a Koozie and no rust rings. Now to see how long it lasts. One thing, it smells like shit going on. But the smell goes away not long after.

I bought into them and have been happy. Not the cheapest option but they have taken abuse and function great. There is a multi drawer box about to be released that is going to be my portable reloading setup.

I have one box on wheels, one of the medium sized boxes, two of the small full size boxes, a couple half width small boxes, and then my sammich maker bought me the thin box w/ socket set. That stays in my 4Runner now and is a nice socket/ ratchet set.

When I was a helper in the machine shop after high school, we had massive welding tables that cost (they told me) a million bucks a table (they probably didn't cost that much lol). The tables were almost perfectly flat across and weighed ~6 tons a piece. I used to spend 30 minutes to an hour a day wiping them down to get all the metal shaving and weld splatter off of them and going around the table with a Starret straight edge to make sure the table top was still flat.

I kept those tables lubed with LPS3 that you put in aerosol cans otherwise they would start rusting pretty quick.

Heavy weight oil with some wax mixed in will work. Basically homemade fluid film.

I've got Milwaukee but its pricey. There is a TON of aftermarket stuff people are making for the packout systems that are pretty cool. The Milwaukee packout system has as much aftermarket support as Rugers 10/22 so that's why I like it
