Bumping this thread; I am looking for a 1st gen 4Runner tailgate. Condition is not critical as I am going to mainly just use the shell of it and I would rather not cut up my nice tailgate.

Glass and motor not necessary; but I can trade you tailgate if you would like. I just hate to cut up a clean tailgate. It is a nice patina of black.
As for the tailgate I plan to cut up; I am going to thin it down to 2-3" thick, make it narrow down to ~30", and maybe remove an inch or two from the bottom. Damn I hope I do not bury this thing in a tree after all this fab work.

What ever works on the tailgate, I have one a clean one on my red 4runner that I am keeping but need to get rid of the green rig completely.
Anybody want my 86' body & frame? I have the title but no motor or axles. I really need to finish stripping the last few things I need off of it get it gone soon, it's pretty much just in my way at this point and I would practically give it away to anybody who wanted it bad enough to come help me strip parts for a few hours first.
Also have tons of extra parts in storage that need to be purged.

I know a thread with a parts list and pics would be helpful, but I am short on time to get one put together. I need the green truck gone ASAP, even if I have to pull everything worth keeping and send the rest across the scales for scrap.

The red truck is a clean and unmolested 87 5-speed I picked up awhile back, Eventually I will restore it / do a mild build. Plan to keep it pretty and comfy, 33's, Air conditioning, carpet, radio ect.

Ok.. lets face it.. Chris needs a 5.3 and an Atlas. Chris just sell that shit and be done with it. You KNOW in your heart of hearts its the right thing to do.

Chris and I should bring our rigs to your garage and have a TOR motor swap day. I get his 22RE and he gets a bigger motor dropped in. Then we leave all the extra parts in an empty lot down the street from your house.

Good luck finding an empty lot without any surveillance. We need to dump some leftovers from the last project... found the local recycler will take scrap for free! Score! Neighbor is taking the rest there this week now that his sons truck is running great.
Scrap for free? Usually they pay the person bringing the scrap. I made a decent bit of side cash for a few years doing that with old hardware around here.

The fuel pump and sending unit are separate items, I do have a good sending unit but threw the pump out because they are cheap and readily available.
