Agreed.. I used to be on the "bleeding edge" of video card and CPU tech.. had to have the highest FPS for games. Don't actually recall when I stopped but it was a while ago.. maybe 2002. Last PC I built was all top of the line shit but that was 7 years ago.. it works fine for what I use it for. I bought a new Ultrabook that is pretty swanky a few years ago. but I just don't play games. I did play Diablo 3 with some old military buddies a few years ago when it came out. Lots of fun and spent a lot of time playing it, but I just don't have the time to play it.

I'm getting ready for a new PC (first one in over 10 years) and I'm struggling with not getting top of the line everything. I really just need it to be able to handle streaming 1080p videos, Skype, audio recording, and general internet usage. Thinking an i5, medium tier graphics card, 8 gigs of ram, and about 2tb of storage. Should be doable in my budget.

Yeah, that looks to be the most common now. Damn, last time I bought a new PC, 8gb was considered a lot. Last thing I bought though was my MBP in 2011 and the last PC was a couple years before that.

Looks like new one will be 16gb, 1660 video card, 1tb HDD, 256gb SSD, and an i5-9400.

Get an ASUS G series laptop, I've owned several and never disappointed. Then again if I was stable and didn't travel any I would have a desktop.

I'm still good with my 2013 MBP. Its chugging along and doing everything I need it to. But I want a desktop in the mancave due to the setup. I have two 27" monitors, mouse, keyboard, etc, etc and I get tired of plugging/unplugging everything everytime I want to take the laptop with me. Going to just get a desktop to leave at the desk and keep my MBP for using everywhere else. But the desktop I'm looking at is an ASUS with the above specs.

Just got Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. So far it's pretty good, but I've only put about an hour into it. Main character is played by the same guy who does Eion on Shameless

4 is mine. 3 is good, but no real re-play value imo. I'm still working on new Vegas, got stuck in DLC that I wasn't leveled up enough to be in and had no choice but to start over . My bro in law loves new Vegas, but he's never played any of the others.

If they took the story line and set it up like Fallout 4 it would be badass. I played through it for a while, but it gets annoying having other fucktards running around while your doing shit bothering you, Wanting to talk etc. I dont like co-op or online games, I only like single player games, so yeah in that respect its fucked up. There are plenty of tards that get a hard on for that shit that are all into it judging by the amount of people I'd see on at any given time, but that was within the first few months of release. I've already deleted it off my system and tossed the game in the closet with the rest of my Fallout junk
