Picked 2+ yards of more cedar mulch for the Victory Garden, with the afternoon heat index at 108, that’s all that got done.

I'd probably spray an herbicide down and let it set in for a few days before putting anything down. That ivy will start to grow up through the grass and be a nightmare to get rid of entirely.

I'd then probably put down a layer of fresh soil before the sod.

I had sprayed that crap 2 times already and it didnt do much at all. I think there were 2 types of ivy, some other vine, holly bushes, and some other shrub that all came out.
Killing this ivy is a huge PITA. I have killed a good bit all over the yard the past 7 years.

I would except I want grass to grow there.
This ivy is tough. I have used some stuff from Ortho called ground clear, then add some vinegar, and dawn soap so it sticks to the waxy leaves.
In the past I have had to spray the crap multiple times. I remember the first time it would not die I was ready to put pool salt in my sprayer along with weed killer but didnt want the salt in the soil.

The orange container of HDX herbicide at Home Depot has the same active ingredient as the $100+ bottle of RoundUp. I've used that stuff with great results. Killed everything but my wallet.

Thanks! I may need that when I kill the rest of the ivy in the front flower bed next year

I just looked on the website and don't see it listed, but I'm pretty sure I've seen it in the store recently. I'll text you a picture of the container that I have.

It has 43% glyphosate in it IIRC. I've bought it before. Last time I was there they didn't have it. I ended up buying a similar product from TSC. Just mix your own and mix it hot!

Stuff I got
» RM43™ HERBICIDE

$200 cream puff, but the rear slider window is mint and with the mirrors, tires and a few other choice pieces that add up to be more then my investment I did pretty good imo. Hell once I strip it ill get more then $200 in scrap for it. If anyone needs some part for a 94 square body f150 let me know, I got 3 plus a 92 f250lol

I buy herbicide in bulk, 2.5 gallons for $150 jug, and it’s one the best priced products, it’s called Triclopyr 4 it is 61.6%, it’s stronger than Remedy Ultra and cheaper, mix 19oz to a gallon of diesel in pump sprayer.

sold at feed stores and/or amazon

I want to see a photo from this same angle in 10 years with trees growing up out of the trucks. @Oswego can you provide tips on keeping trees from growing up between the frame rails? :D
