What have you done to someone else's ride lately?

Ok. 3rd door hinges are fixed. All doors open and close like factory. Drivers side
A-pillar is fully welded up and passenger side A-pillar is 50% done. Tomorrow I'll wrap up the a-pillar and get some of the rear going... Cleco the cab together along the seam and keep welding. My mom is coming to town on Tuesday for a week or so... That will slow down progress. But it's getting there. I'm tired and sore as shit right now though.

Door gap on the 3rd door. Spot on

I bet Sean felt more accomplished ;)

I'm pretty proud. Not something I would normally tackle but I won't back down to a challenge. :)

Looking good. What about paint? Last time I was in your garage there was no paint booth.

And before you ask about my mom, she passed years ago but I bet she'd give as many cobwebs she could scrounge up to be able to paint and weld right now. :)

No paint booth. He will pay to have it painted by a pro. I do have the air and spray guns to paint. I don't really know wtf I'm doing with paint and don't want to learn on someone else's truck.

Mom cooks. As long as she is inside making dinner I'm good. :). I'll ask her though.

For my next project I will break out the spray gun. As soon as I sell this trail rig.

Figured out why Craig's truck didn't have power to the rear wheels. The air locker line was full of oil so the locker wasn't working and then we pulled the third and found this lol

Such a clean break it looked like someone took a band saw to it. He got lucky in the fact that where it broke the shaft can still sit in the side gear so he was able to drive home without the axle shaft wobbling all over the place

I wish I would have had my grandpa teach me body work and paint before he passed away. I have his spray guns, pneumatic sanders, and a bunch of other tools but not the least bit of knowledge on what to do with them.

How did oil get into the air line that bad? And that is a crazy break

Got the neighbors truck 98% welded back together. Just have a couple very small spots on the a-pillars I want to hit again and then it's done! We have done rust inhibitor on the whole thing (will do another coat on the a-pillars) and we have seam sealed the interior. Next will be some undercoating and some paint on the interior and then it's off to the body shop. It's looking pretty fucking good!

Helped my nephew install a 400w amp and new 6x9's in his xterra. Took him 11 hours with my instructions and tools. I was doing my best to NOT do the job for him and make him do it to learn how. He stepped up to the plate and knocked it out of the park!

Neighbor just texted me. He's running a fever of 101 so doubt we will finish it all up tomorrow. Bummer.

Thanks, it was hard for me lol I'd give him a tool, show him once how to use it and step back.
We had a really weird issue after getting everything hooked up. The lights and radio kept flashing on and off around 5 times a second. I was like WTF and then my nephew wiggled the positive contact lead and it stopped. Turned out to be the connection to the battery so I poured some coke on it to fix it lol

Neighbors truck is all welded up, even fixed an exhaust leak. We also ground down everything and seam sealed it and underbody rust proofed it. Did a little bit of bondo on the rockers where I welded them together. Turned out really good. Next is to put the bed back on and paint the interior of the cab. That's tomorrow's project.
