Best source for a u joint for an '06 Tacoma PreRunner. I have a friend that dropped drive shaft this morning. I am going to get the part ordered and then go help him out.

Swapped in a new u joint for this drive shaft last night. Big thanks to @tex for letting me borrow his garage. The u joint had nothing left to it but the center piece. Overall the swap was not horrible and my buddy says it drives like the day he bought it. That is a huge improvement over the vibrations he had been having. This is not done though as we need to find a new rear coupler and replace the carrier bearing as well. These double cab long bed Tacomas have a lot of drive shaft under them.

So anyone know a good place to get a driveshaft flange?

I was talking to Aaron this morning about doing a driveshaft/ u joint thread. I am thinking it would be two parts - one with the "shop method" and the second with the "trail repair" method. A parts list and some good pics of how to operate/setup the different parts would be included.

They also make some great strap systems - Ive been meaning to order some for my kayaks for years. I'm still using the straps Rodger used to strap my engine to the pallet years ago and they are ready to shear any moment.
