Or so the sales rep says. :) Unless you are cooking your t-case or have a internal combustion process going on in there, I don't see much of a reason to do it. Especially on a chain one using synth. :)

I change mine every 1-2 yrs, because I'm expecting to find water in there one day...

Taking a refrigeration class this semester. Got to charge an AC on a classmates truck in class this morning. First time doing it the real way and not just with the off the shelf DIY systems from Vato Zone.

Helped a friend replaced CV's and seals on 2007 Chevy 4wd, the inner seals totall pita, it was the old design with the 2 piece lock tab and tamperured washer, had to open all the way up and replaced the part with the updated TSB part and new gaskets, TGIFFLIFT

Its this thing called preventive maintenance, did you explain that concept? Which reminds me, I need to flush my t-case. Royal Purple only lasts so long.
I changed mine out before the Moab trip, boy did it need it. The oil came out really dark.

I don't think they will find out how well it rides. She won't let him take it off pavement.

Dang; that is a lot of coin to drop on a pavement princess. At least the suspension will have some solid resale value if they decide to take it off and sell it.

Changed out fan clutches, recorded data, test, test, test while the truck traveled as fast as it could go. Remove fan clutch and go again. :)

Are you trying to log/decide how much power the fan clutch is eating up? Any hints at what the next step would be?

Well actually we are trying to get it so that the a/c stays on a couple of minutes longer when you are burning the coals hard and not burst a cooling line.

Bottom line - Toyota/Asin fan clutches are damn good. We also tried other Toyota fans too. If you do have cooling problems, feel free to pm me or ask me in about a year or so when the connection of me to this project is old news.

I spent a little time today helping a friend go over his new '87 Toyota Truck. It was a ranch truck so it has some maintenance and up-keep neglect issues. The body and frame are in great condition though. Today was my first time to see it but I had already had him order a vacuum hose kit to replace all the old hoses. We also removed the center cap on the passenger wheel and unlocked the hub. It accelerated significantly better after the hub was unlocked and vacuum hoses were replaced. I will let the pictures highlight the other issues we need to work on still.
