What have you done to someone else's ride lately?

I was going to say that would not be needed in Tejas then I remembered summer.

Yeah the foil on the outside should protect alot of the radiant heat from coming in as well in the summer, at least that was my hopes :0

For $130 and a few hours of time it can't hurt!

I would like to do some instulation in my shop as well, buddy of mine had his spray foam done and the cost was like $11k but damn, that costly

I have a company coming tomorrow to do spray foam in the ceiling at my shop. for R38 in a 30x60 it came out to $1500. That should help out a good amount in the mean time while I figure out what I'm going to do with the walls. $11k, fuck that's pricey!

Do not use spray foam insulation in Texas. From what I've heard, the foam expands & contracts really bad during Texas' crazy temperature changes. I installed this processed cellulose insulation in this custom home in the Heights. It was awesome! The house was nearby a freeway and once the new insulation was in with new windows & doors, it was dead quiet inside. They wanted an extra $2k to spray insulation in the house which the owner didn't want to pay for. But the kicker is, they spray insulation company leave all the extra cellulose and cut off's from the wall with you. We had more than enough to spread it out in the attic!

Lastly, the extra material we put in the attic! Saved the owner $2k!

I don't think it's a issue in metal buildings, his shop is a few years old, no known problems so far.

Shop looks good! You need to hang those shop speakers ASAP! Otherwise, they get damaged from sparks or moving stuff around. Speaking from experience.:)

Yep. I mounted 4 in the ceiling and the other 3 are on the wall. Subwoofer is only thing down low and it's way behind and under a workbench that doesn't get used for metalwork.

So what does BPF stand for?

It's not even a joke....well I guess it is, but lets say I'm not "telling a joke". That's really what it means.

Thanks! Hoping to get the walls insulated this month. Yeah I need to build a shelf and get them elevated, just haven't had the time. I've had them since college they are not the best but they do get pretty loud.

Yep what Boyd said, Black Pipe Fab. Kind of a half ass joke turned real. A few years ago I was renovating a bathroom for a friend in Manayunk. I had to get some ABS fittings so we stopped by a Home Depot outside of one of the Philly suburbs. I looked around and didn't see any ABS, so I asked a worker who was apparently their "plumbing expert" (some crazy black lady, go figure lol ). She had no idea what ABS was, so I told her it was black pipe. So she says, "OH YEAH WE GOT DAT BLACK PIPE!" And she heads over to the black iron pipe and says to me, "HERE'S YO BLACKPIPE!" So from there on out it was kind of a joke and story to tell, and eventually just decided to name my side business/hobby BPF lol

That's hilarious. This is how I feel when I walk in those stores...

On your speakers, just get some chain, screw it into the sides of the speakers and hang them that way. Just another idea. Or rig up a bracket out of some scrap steel for them.
