What have you done to someone else's ride lately?

Put new tires on the wifes car, 245/40/20, Continental ExtremeContact DWS 06... great reviews.. have not had a chance to test them out yet though. They look great for what ever that is worth.... not much unless its parked I suppose. :)

Tires are a success. Wife likes them, they are much quieter.

Turned in a rental Cry 300 car after 2 weeks of use, well the transmission slips now between 3-5th gears and clunks some through 5-8th.

Disassembled that shock / spring and got everything lined up better. More involved than I was hoping, but glad it's fixed.

Also rotated his tires.

On that note, rotated tires and put new OEM rotors and pads on the front of my wife's 4R. I feel like 75k mi is a little soon for a brake job, but they were starting to make some noise and I've been seeing people on T4R.org replacing brakes at 60k mi out of necessity.

I have had those on 3 cars - the 7, the m3 and I just put them on my 5. I like them for a number of reasons - the biggest one is $/tire rating. :)

They are standard issue on the Audi S5's. Neighbor just got a 2018 and it has them on it.

Added some tubework to one of my buddy's cars. He uses this BMW for the 24 hours of lemons racing. Sorry I didn't get any great pictures but we cut the cross beam out on the driver side and welded in two parallel bent tubes to make it easier to get in and out of the car.

That's Mr Asshole to you
I got my brothers GX (@balakay ) old rig detailed and cleaned up today. Figured I would give it one last good wash before it lives a life of dirt roads, mountain passes, and snow.
Cleaned the engine bay, undercarriage, washed, clay bar, wax, cleaned door jambs, ceramic boost, conditioned leather, coated the under side with fluid film, repainted the sliders, and of course tire shine.
I used some Chemical Guys grim reaper for the engine and undercarriage.
Adams Polish wash, wax, ceramic boost, window cleaner, interior detailer, all purpose cleaner, undercarriage spray, and tire shine.
Zaino Bros leather cleaner and conditioner as well as their clay bar.

Well at least it has tire shine to last for 6 months on it. @tex doesn't fuck around with tire shine!!

Dang...that's a lot of work on someone else's trail rig. I washed and waxed my wifes car the other day and that was about all I felt like I had time for.

I guess it fits in this thread...

The 4Runner got a wash and wax on Saturday. I noticed that the fridge was at 84 and the volt meter read 9.something. After charging the battery, it wasn't holding enough juice to power the fridge for more than 30 minutes. The battery is about 5 years old and was recently moved from the starting battery to the dual. It has been replaced with a Duracell Group 24 AGM. Reserve capacity was good, it was relatively cheap, and left plenty threads exposed on the dual battery tray. I haven't checked it this morning, but fingers crossed it is good.

Also greased the U-joints.

Almost forgot...I had a helper!

So a year or two ago when @italynstylion upgraded his Bilstein lift to Icons I bought the Bilstein lift for my sammich maker's Tacoma. Fast forward a few weeks and I finally got around to installing it today. lol It picked up about 1.5" of lift and rides a lot better than worn out shocks. I have more than a few of these swaps with other people; but some how this was the first time I did it on a rig with a sway bar still on. The brakes are good but I found a short list of other items that need to be addressed when I swap out the hub.

But for now I have a happy sammich maker because her tires do not rub anymore. Ordered a new hub for the passenger side wheel. Keeping the sammich maker happy....

*Ordered the hub from JerseyBuilt about a half hour ago and I already have confirmation it is in stock and tracking info. It should be here Wednesday. Looks like the Tacoma is getting a lot of love this week.

I've always been taught to replace in pairs.

I'm gonna see if they make these in my wife's tire size and try those. The Michelins she has now are kinda loud.
