What have you done to someone else's ride lately?

Don't hold your breath waiting on that hub from jerseybilt... He got shut down as a vendor on tardworld I thought for not meeting order times?

Ironic - JerseyBilt did his part but the USPS dropped the ball. The hubs are a day behind because they did not get processed through the Ft Worth facility until this evening. I expect them to be here tomorrow.

Sorry I was typing that from my phone so I didn't elaborate. It was more that he wasn't able to meet the shipping times he told people and wasn't responding to emails. I didn't read about him ripping anyone off.

10-4. If he's not shipping within the time frame that he said he would - flame away. I hate that crap. Also hate USPS lol

I just had that same experience with Wheelers. Ended up waiting something like a month for items to ship that were in stock. Dude I was dealing with decided to not drop ship the total chaos items I bought like he said he would then held the King items he did have in stock until the TC got to him so he could ship it all at once.

I did learn something I though was pretty slick though. Talking to their secretary very nicely she let it slip that King's terms are CIA for all their orders. I wish I could get cash in advance for all my work. 10% of my time is "reminding" people they need to pay for the services we offer after the work is done and they are over 30 days since invoiced.

I'm 99% sure Ant reached out to Kevin (hub dude) on this order so it may not be a "normal" lead time and may have been expedited. I know Ant told me he texted him about someone in here's order.

He may have; but in the little chat thing that popped up on his website I mentioned TOR after he said he had the hub in stock. Either way it just got installed; so from order to install was four days (no thanks to USPS for screwing around with it in Ft Worth). The Tacoma maintenance moves forward - clock cable in the steering wheel is next.

He needs to have another way to order them.

Just bought four new Michelin tires for the wife's Volvo. Note to self, Pirelli's suck as they wear down (get super loud) and 19" rims are expensive to buy tires for! Damn near the same price as 33" A/T's.

From April 2, 2018 and roughly 10k miles ago...

So the USPS decided to finally deliver the pads and rotors for my sammich maker's 2006 Tacoma. The old rotors lasted at least the last 100,000 miles; probably more. The new EBC Premium rotor and pads should last as long I hope. I am putting them on tonight.

@tx_shooter do a quick test for me... grab a set of calipers and measure the thickness of your old rotors with a 100k miles on them. Then measure the new EBC rotors. Let me know which ones are thicker.

I helped my brother put some new rotors on at 125K miles and his OEM rotors were still thicker than the new EBC rotors lol

Never got around to measuring them and now I wish I had. Damn things warped badly quickly. New OEM rotors from Camelback will be here this week. When it rains it pours...

Yikes. Wonder what would happen if you wrote them a nice letter/e-mail? EBC that is.

Yep you had the same experience I did...Just stick with OEM and you'll be good to go.

New OEM rotors are on and it stops like it should. Lesson learned.
I didn't want to believe it either...I figured there's no way powerstop or EBC wouldn't be better than OEM but no it's not. Especially when the OEM caliper was designed for that OEM caliper thickness.

So last weekend - not the one we just had, but the one before that - I helped a kid replace his driver side LCA and wheel bearing. Big thanks to @Oswego for answering questions ahead of time. Overall it was a success. My attempt at doing mine the following Monday (Columbus Day)....not so much. I'll put that story in this thread: What have you done to your ride lately?

Thats exactly what I want to do to mine. My gauge is off and has been for some time.. figure if I have to drop the tank or pull the bed to replace it.. I'm getting a bigger tank.
