What have you done to someone else's ride lately?

Have you considered getting a vehicle that fits only your family, and if you have family in town and need more seating, rent a Suburban? I just drove one around Chicago last week with 3 Co workers. TONS of room. While I would never own one, I would for sure rent one again for the space and comfort.

That is what we used to do. Rent a van for when family comes into town.

I rented and drove a Suburban to New Orleans. With 6 adults + luggage while cruising at 85MPH we were getting 22MPG. It was really comfy and drove great. However, at 8,500 miles I think it was having an alternator/charging issue already lol

No, not really. I have considered having a great reason as to why I can't ride in the 3rd row though.

I really wish the new sequoia had a non-hybrid option. That would give the 3rd row much more room. I also wish they wouldn't have stopped the design process at the rear hatch/door. The front and sides look good, but the back looks like a Sienna.

You and a ton of other people want the same thing.

X2...I'd much rather it not have the hybrid shit since it does fuck all for highway mpg and kills floor space in both back rows and limits storage behind 3rd row. Of course, I'm not the one paying for it..so fuck it. I'll drive it for a few years lol

They had it parked in a handicapped spot. I hated doing it, but I parked next to it when I got there.

I didn't know they made a "TRD Off Road" package Sequoia. This one has the Multi Terrain Select, rear locker, TRD Skids, etc.

Funny how it's an offroad package and has that super low hanging plastic snow plow thing.
Nice ride!

Looking forward to your results and opinion.

So far, the Expedition got better gas mileage with the EcoBoost.... at least on the highway. Not sure about around town. It also had more room in the third row. The Sequoia "feels" smaller, but I'm not sure that it is.

They feel pretty equal in terms of power. I haven't really put this one to the test yet, but I'd say it is no less powerful than the Expedition (at least in terms of getting up to speed).

I still think the designers gave up on the rear. I like the look of the front and sides, but the back looks like a lifted Sienna.

I'm still learning the infotainment system. It's not as intuitive as I would think, but that might just be a learning curve. I vaguely remember it taking a bit to learn the ford system. I like the wireless carplay/android auto.

I got the same in white, you're never going to get ecoboost mpg out of it. 4000 miles and the best I've gotten is 19mpg on the highway and I drive like a granny. I read that they didn't do that engine combo for mpg, it was done to beat emissions and still preform like a V8.

The MPG is the part that still drives me nuts on the new Toyotas. They could have tweaked it a little bit to achieve 20 or 22 mpg.

That's always been the case with them, my old Tacoma got shit mpg stock. Only toyotas I've ever gotten good mpg out of had a 22-r and a 5 speed lol.

This TRD gets fairly decent in town if you keep it below 40ish mph and on the elect motor.

That makes sense, and would explain some things.

yeah. Even in eco mode.

I got 22mpg in the Expedition on the way there.

21 mpg on the way home.
