What have you done to your ride lately?

Never knew about the slamming the competition. I just liked that it was supposed tobfit our trucks and had a larger diameter pipe (4" vs 3").

Could of just been the retailer.... hard to remember. Haven't derped the herp on TW in a year +.

We just lost the access to the majority of our trails here in NJ. Used to have 500+ miles of fire roads, now cut down to 200+ miles. Most of the good trails gone. Might as well just fix my truck and sell it at this point. Lost every single place I have wheeled since childhood........or just uproot and move the f out of this hell hole of a state.

How bald are your tires? They look like slicks in the pic.

Not bald at all. Probably have around 20k miles left on em.

Bought new clips from the stealership and popped the inner plastic fender in and snapped the flare back into place.

Best thing is to bail on those clips and use black silicone from GE. You can then fish line and rub the silicone off. I have had my front flares on that way for years - best thing since pussy.

I did an oil change on my new 4Runner today. Holy crap I have been spoiled doing oil changes on the 4.0 the last 5 years. I am going to have to do an oil filter relocation on this dang 3.4 because this stuff just is not going to happen like this.

lol, it ain't THAT hard to reach

But compared to how easy my Tacoma is - I don't even have to put down my beer to change the oil on my Tacoma. Plus I think the last guy to change the oil on the 3.4 used a wrench to put the filter on. I had to drive a screwdriver through it to get it to twist free.

I just changed my oil today as well. The key is to invest in a socket type filter wrench, 9" worth of extensions and cut away the plastic splash guard. Then it's super easy to get out through the driver fender well. Even with the tire on. Takes me longer to drain the oil than it does to swap filters. Also invest in a Fumoto valve as well. They're great.

Yeah; I need to get a socket filter wrench in this size. I did install the Fumoto valve today when I did the oil change.

Or buy K&N oil filters with the 1" nut on top. Easy to get on and off.

Or take it to Firestone and have them way over tighten it and forget to add the oil. :)

Had my transmission serviced today. Not sure if it helped with temps at all since it was 30 degrees cooler on my commute to work tonight than it has been. But it smoothed out the shifting a lot. I'll see what the temps look like in a few days.

That's Mr Asshole to you
Ordered some more parts today. About another 6 weeks and I should be able to get a few more things to really transform the runner. Should make a fun install weekend.
