I'm building the new front frame section mainly to get rid of the cracked/collapsed area of my frame up around the steering box not just to stretch the wheelbase. It's just easiest to go ahead and stretch it while I'm doing it. As for the stretching the rear, I'm just cutting the old hangers off and welding new ones in 4" further back and adding some bracing on the back part of the frame where it goes from being fully boxed to just channel.

Ordered new front and rear shocks for the Taco. Should be here next week at some point. Ones I wanted were on backorder until Sept!! And that was providing Fox does what they say they are gonna do and start back up production in August. He said Fox has pushed out production 4 times this year on them and he has had shocks on order since January!! Fuck that. Went King 2.5's extended length with remote resi and adjusters f&r... also had them swap in 700# coils up front.

Good choice. I wish I would have spend the extra money for some Kings last year. Found out today from Icon that they are machining new shafts for both of mine since it looks like they were manufactured out of spec. If they leak again I will probably go King or Radflo.

I wanted the DSC extended length Fox but I wasn't waiting 3 months for a maybe to show up. Ordered from DSMW, they are swapping out the coils for free and they should ship out tomorrow but by Friday at the latest he said.

Sean, you need to get a good alibi and get out for some real living. Life is about balance. - On a side note, I love living in a motor town. This 70 chevelle just turned a corner. I looked at it and the owner felt the need to wind the piss out of the GMC Blown, 16inch plus wide meats equiped beauty. I want to know how they don't get tickets for vision impaired vehicle. Tell me an old lady in a wheelchair couldn't be lost behind that thing (the GMC blower)!

Oh I hear you!!! I think they are planning another trip to Hawaii the following year (maybe next summer).. ugh. My cousin is getting engaged (guess she is engaged now) to a monster truck driver. A legit monster truck that if you follow the sport you know the truck. Anyhow, I guess they are getting married in Hawaii and mom wants to go. Too bad mom isn't paying for the trip. LOL But I'll go back.. do one day at the wedding and spend the rest on the north shore eating from Giavannis shrimp truck and at Teds Bakery.

Looking at hydraulic assist for the 4Runner. Other than the necessary steering box modifications, is there any thing else that I need that isn't stock? Upgraded steering pump, etc...
I have access to rams and hydraulic hose and fittings at work. Just trying to get what I need on the mechanical side of things.

Much bigger reservoir and maybe a cooler, I'd leave the stock pump until it becomes an issue. Mine had zero problems with a stock non modified pump and 37s
