What have you done to your ride lately?

Does the HU have a built in crossover? It maybe just limiting the bass freq's going to those 6x9's.

Looks like it does!

Yeah it sounds like a tuning adjustment is really all you need. Many headunits have a "loudness" button that's intended to help weak stock speakers sound better. It's shunned when using high end speakers that don't need it but for stock stuff it can actually improve things quite a bit.

Below is the feature set from your unit. If I had to guess, the speaker size is set to "small" or the crossover isn't set low enough and thus the unit simply isn't sending the speakers bass to play.

Are you near Dallas? I'd happily take a look at it and spend some time with the measurement mic to see if we can get it sounding right.

I found that feature set in the menu this morning on my way in to work. It was set to "None" for the car type. It sounded better on Full Size Car, but I left it on Compact since Truck wasn't an option. Speakers were set to 6.5" all around, so I got that adjusted as well. I didn't see the subwoofer option, which I'm guessing is because it knows that I don't have an amp hooked up. I also didn't notice much difference in sound quality messing with the crossover settings, but I'll admit that I'm not familiar with changing those. I also didn't realize until I got to work that I was adjusting only the rears, which are still the factory speakers (for now...wanted to see if I liked the Kenwood fronts before opening the box for the rears).

I am in North Fort Worth (just south of Cabela's). I'd love to have you take a look and see if we can get it tuned. I have 15 days from the date of purchase, which means that I have until this Saturday to decide if I'm going to keep them.

Shoot me a PM and we can get together. I'm free tonight actually if that works for you. Can't promise it will sound stellar afterward but it will sound as good as is possible with the equipment you have.

Just bought everything to rebuild my Icons, including an N2 charging set up. All goes well, I'll be offering this as a service. Same day shock rebuild.

I have a set that needs to be rebuilt, one needs a new lock ring, because the spanner wrench tore the fitmit to turn it.

Cussed at my 4Runner a little this morning. I did one small job before going to a VA appointment as a favor. I came outside to the 4Runner after the stop and found that my passenger CV is leaking/ splitting now. How much attention does this bitch want? She just got a brand new front suspension and steering rack. Dang.

Awesome, I'll let y'all know how my rebuild goes. I've got the spanner for the retaining plate, just need to get a smaller 12pt socket for the top hats.

My taco loco called in sick today, jumped in this morning, no start, just one click and the voltage was reading ~12.3, hind sight it didn't leave me stranded, I was already home.

Jump in my other truck with twin turbos and three minutes later blasted off to work.

you took attention away from her, telling everyone how you were going to groom the trail rig, and she reminded you not to do that.

She has received enough attention and $$$ lately.

Old battery or corroded cables?

It took 3 minutes to spool those twin turbos? :confundio1::confundio1::confundio1: Doesn't sound worth it to me

My battery that was replaced was reading 12.1V and it wasn't enough to start the truck either IIRC. Wonder if the starter is getting weaker too.

Dual batterys engage with 1400amp jump start,
And it Starts,
main battery test good, 3-4 times, did not pull 2nd battery but it reads 13.22, 2nd battery is only dual when offroad.

My guess is the Starter Solenoid is 99.9% my culprit.

Or a faulty connection at the starter.

I got the truck in my shop, I don't have the time, I will have mess with it late Sunday/next week, if not the lower connection, I will need to put a new starter on.

All new on top
