What have you done to your ride lately?

I think you can PM the guy at Camelback on TW and possibly even get a better price than advertised online. His UN is Gunny1005

Replaced the gas struts on the camper top today.

Ordered replacements on Amazon that came from lift support depot in CA. The ones they said replaced the part number of the old did not fit. They were the same extended length, but the body was about an inch longer. So I called them and instead of me having to pay for shipping to return the old, the sent me a return shipping label and included a bubble mailer to send the wrong ones back. There's a lot to be said for good customer service! They were also among the cheaper (but not cheapest) options.

The correct ones were not listed on their website, so talking to their customer service rep was the only way to get the correct replacements. I couldn't be happier with them at this point.

My truck doesn't have keyless entry. The past week, I have noticed that unlocking the driver door with the key has been met with unusual resistance. All of a sudden when I lock the doors from inside, the driver door lock sounds like it's grinding coffee. Super loud and unpleasant noise. Would that just be the lock motor going out? Why would it still be so hard to unlock manually?

My driver side locks get tough when they get hot. When the ambient temp is over 90 and they get full sun the locks do not work unless I manually move them. Might start with checking if they are temp sensitive.

Could be the motor or gearing, id start by spraying the lock with this

3-IN-ONE 2.5 oz. Lock Dry Lubricant Oil-120074 - The Home Depot

I've used it on all my home and car locks and makes them work like new again. If it isn't the lock mechanism one of the metal bars that connects the lock motor to the handle might be bent or gotten misaligned. They have small plastic clips that hold them in

Sprayed that 3 in 1 lock lube in my door lock and it is back to smooth operation, but the power lock won't work at all now.

Working on 81 Yota, getting it ready to sell. Swapped out headlights, removing excess wire from when I was planning to put a stereo in it. Cleaned the K&N filter on it. Will most likely break out the pressure washer this week and hit it good. Still debating on painting it. Currently trying to locate the door panels to reinstall those but I think they are in the loft area above my tool room.. and its filled with shi.. stuff. And its hot.. SO.. when my daughter gets home she gets to help dad locate them. :)

Pre trip prep. Tire rotation, grease zerks, lube UCA uniballs, check diff fluids, oil, and washer fluid. Check bolt torque on suspension components and cleaned out the inside. Put together a tool roll with most everything I would need to work on my truck in a pinch. Waxed the front to make bug cleanup easier.
Leaving on Friday for Colorado but the 4runner will sit in the garage for most of the week while I travel to Komifornia for work.
Lemme know if you are around my ghetto and have time for a beverage. :)
