What have you done to your ride lately?

I got tired of the OEM Prinsu dull black bolts looking duller and duller. So I am replacing them with chrome stainless steel bolts. I have to order a set of 1/2" bolts for the fairing still. Overall it adds a nice contrast to the roof rack and dark profile overall. I will try to get a better picture tomorrow.

The SVL 75 required a bit of maintenance items recently...
Pulled skids and washing and degreasing the machine about 5 hours worth of cleaning. Grease balls the size of golf balls were coming out from the corner skids.

Engine oil & filter, Air filters inner and outer, AC filter and 2 cabin filters, hydraulic filter, hydraulic return filter(inside tank), hydraulic breather filter, track tightening, drive oil replacement and fresh grease in the zerks. I just need to find a good way to clean the exterior windows with the limited access to them with the cage wire on the outside.

A bit boring cause the filter is down in a 10 gallon tank, I did not drain the tank cause my fluid was still real clear.

Final results look pretty good; excluding the four bolts that are on the front braces. That "blacked out" look is gone now. The stainless silver looks good with the silver slider and chrome lug nuts.

They look good. How many miles did you get out of the old ones?

I had 40k on them and they were all between 4/32 and 5/32. Only reason I changed them now was because I had a tps go out on one of my wheels. That set was the AT geolanders these are the MT. I had zero issues out of the AT and highly recommend them for mixed use with more pavement. They did damn well in all that ice and snow bs last year.

How’s the 7.3? Tried to convince my BIL to get one but he was set on diesel and ended up getting a 6.4 against warnings from everyone he talked to.

So far so good. Just rolled 40k on it with zero issues. Fuel mileage is decent and it pulls like a diesel. He definitely should have steered clear of the 6.4 it's .4 more problems then the 6.0. He should've went for the 6.7. I'd definitely take a 6.7 over the 7.3 for working, but the difference in diesel cost over gas don't make it worth it for light duty use.

Yeah I tried to help him but all he was interested in was whatever he could get as cheap as possible. I told him he’ll end up spending the money he saved shortly.

That ain't no lie. I think it's close to $20k these days to "Bulletvproof" one

That's the worst diesel motor ever put into a Ford truck. I'd take a 6.0 over a 6.4 any day of the week. That motor is probably on it's last legs as it is.

I got some Continental extreme contact dws06 plus on order for my Volvo S60. The Michelin primacy mxm4 I've had for the last few sets just haven't been lasting as long as they are rated for. They are great at everything except road noise and tire wear so it's time to try something else. These continentals have a 50k mileage warranty and I've read several reviews of people getting almost 65k out of them.
