at least those big plastic bolts have been removed from the end of each spoke on the wheels. The hat brim may have a slight bend to it...

On my way home from work yesterday my horn started to randomly honk. Usually happened around corners. Today I pulled into Vatozone to pickup the new valve cover gasket for my 81'... same truck thats randomly honking the horn. It honked again as I pulled in. So I disco'd the horn. Got home and pulled the horn button to realize it was broken. (Grant wheel thats less than 3 years old and MAYBE has 7k miles on it). Did a quick search on Amazon and zero Grant buttons (I was on my phone so maybe one is out there) Anyhow, thought, hey my trail rig has a Grant wheel and I don't need a horn. Pulled it and swapped it.. works like a champ. Next was to adjust the valves on the 81. My buddy came over and did it... I supervised and drank beer. He lives for this shit. Anyhow, its good.. was really close to perfect when we started. Next it to fix the AC.. did some work on it last night and it bled down.

I guess if I'm going to have drum brakes, this is the way they should look. Now to see if they stop!!!

Gonna take a wire wheel to the axle / drum interface. I have the gasket thingees but I am going to cut some special thin plastic/vynal gasket material... and maybe not!!!

Have I ever mentioned I efing HATE Drum brakes!!!

No real issues - other than my bent backing plates. I picked up all of the parts - new everything - for $100. So I thought it was a great opportunity to start over.
