probably going to keep the build mild. Stock tire size until i get the full icon setup, skids and sliders, rtt, lighting, bumpers and winch, regear and lockers.

I like the new bfg ATs they will be the next tire for my GMC and work truck. I have not been impressed with the duratracks seen numerous get destroyed in the oilfield. Used to have the general AT2s on the taco back when it was stockish they were descent but didn't balance worth a damn

Speaking of KO2's.. I'll be walking around the house without a hit of worry thanks to my new KO2 socks!

Finally took advantage of some good weather and compression tested my 4Runner's motor. I have done nothing to it for a little over a month so all of these compression numbers are cold. Even when it does run it runs on two cylinders now.

Pressure after three revolutions / Max Pressure / Pressure loss after 2 minutes

Cylinder 1 - 100 / 130 / 0
Cylinder 2 - 110 / 125 / 0
Cylinder 3 - 120 / 130 / 0
Cylinder 4 - 100 / 120 / 0

Strong smell of gasoline even though the motor has not been messed with in a while. Once I started turning it over the smell became amazingly strong. Just for reference a bad pic of the spark plugs is included. They are held in 1-2-3-4 order left to right.


So - any thoughts? Bad injectors making it run like crap? It does not appear to be a bad cylinder now that I have finally done a compression test on it.

Have you gone through the ignition system? At least that's where I would start before moving on to the injectors

Yes; forgot to mention that. All four plugs have a strong spark.

Timing off? It sounds like the injectors are working dumping fuel on the non firing cylinders, I'd try to avoid messing with the injectors as they are pricy and not many people carry the correct ones

Do you have O2 sensors? Those can cause a lot of headaches if they are bad.

Brand new O2 sensor that was installed before last Jambo. I will check the cable though as it had to get extended a few feet to reach the new location for the header.

I could not find my timing light; but I did give it the old "by the ear" try and found little difference between full advance and full retard/potato. Here is a video I shot - mainly wanted to get the sound. It cranks up great - then runs like it is lean as hell. I floored the pedal and it slowly picked up and then came back down when I let off the gas.




As I am thinking about it - I need to check the fuel pressure and filter. Where is the filter? lol
