Went out to some family friends last night for fireworks. On the way the truck developed a very high pitch squeal from the front driver side. Pulled over and saw the reason. Luckily it was an easy fix. It did put a nice groove in the backside of the rim.

Bingo! There is a tiny little cotter pin behind it to hold it in place. It somehow went AWOL. That was the shuddering I felt in reverse. Next time I'm going to safety wire them in place.

That is one of those parts where I love OEM. I hope they sell them individually.

25th It is then and if anyone feels like it we can start early on Friday evening the 24th or let it spill into Sunday even. I'll have some extra space if anyone wants to stay.

So what all is needs to get done? Just a rolling chassis with no drive train or is it missing everything

The new (er) rig is complete minus a motor but I needs the stock diffs pulled out and stuff from the green truck swapped in. Diffs, drive train lift, motor ect. Lots to do, more than we could possibly get done really but if we could just get the ball rolling and the big stuff done then I'll be well on my way. I'm going to order a new clutch asap just incase we actually get the engine & Trans both installed.

I just paid my ride off. Five years and a lot of miles later it is still a damn good truck. Now I need to replace the serpentine belt finally.
