The last few times I have washed mine the paint feels rough. Today I decided to clay bar it. Went through 2 bars and got a ton of shit out of the paint. Did the entire Zaino process that took 4 hours but damn it looks great. Pretty sure the paint looks better than the day I got it. No pics since its dark.

Today I (hopefully) swapped out the transmission cooler for the last time. I installed the larger B&M cooler and an inline thermostat. I figured this will help maintain at least 160* and allow the benefits of the larger cooler during the summer and off roading. I had to move it a little bit when I put the skid plate back on but overall it is in a good spot until I replace the front bumper.

The cooler installed.

The thermostat.

Nice! Is it just the pic? The thermostat looks like it's really low

Installed my Southern Style front bumper today. Seems like a stout piece and happy with how it turned out.

Yeah it does look low in the pics.

The thermostat in the pic is just the inline one to ensure proper warm-up temps. It is down by the bottom of the radiator and will probably be relocated when I put on a front bumper. There is a separate thermostat sending unit for the dash gauge that is an inch or so from the end of the fluid out tube from the transmission. I drove the 4R into town last night and everything appeared to work nicely. The temps came up to ~160 within 10 minutes of starting up and driving on the highway, then leveled off in town right at 160, and stayed in that area even in stop and go traffic. Much better than always sitting around 180-200 degrees.

I will do a winch soon but spent a little more on the lift probably need to get through the holidays. Looking at the Superwinch tiger shark again with synthetic line or the Engo.

Installed my new aftermarket Mechman alternator last night. Was a PIA for the bottom main bolt as the casing was a couple of thousands off which kicked everything to the side. Took me forever to get that bolt in. Also had to wait 5-6 weeks to get the fucker in.
But it puts out enough power at idle to charge both my optima batteries to around 14.05-14.3V. :) I haven't driven it yet on the highway because I finished so late last night.
I also put on my new OEM belt which is so much thicker than my vatozone one.

Yeah it'll be nice to have the power I need now. I should've done this upgrade a lllooonnnggg time ago instead of burning up alternators and batteries.

I like those too. "Sad" thing is I haven't had battery problems with the Platinums and have a brand new OEM alt sitting in the back cubby.

Replacing the lca uniball bolts, inner axle seal, and CV axle boots. Time to roll to Mexico. :)

Are you sure? I don't think I've ever seen more than about 12.7 volts. :)
