Picked up new OE drums and new backing plate. Have I mentioned I hate drums? ;) ARP studs won't be here for at least a week -effers! Talked with ARP and the reason they are so long (shorter for our truck/Lexus) is due to the racing sanctioning bodies require studs to protrude thru lug nuts. I am beginning to see the sense of the stock lug nuts where they protect the studs.

Can you get them cut down?

Over looking belt diagrams:confused: for about 30min, I had an extra pulley not shown service manuel. Note to self, take pictures!
Replaced the drive belt and blades on ZTR, I had the dealer last time replace the drive belt when the steering was off.
I'm not sure I could have replaced the belt without using the lift and looking under the mower and belt direction. I had to remove the deck belt, electrical connections and brackets from the bottom.

Back at Discount Tire watching them rotate and rebalance the tires on my 4R. According to the sales kid there is a known issue of Toyotas just not balancing worth a damn with AT or MT tires. I just stared at him but the old guy beside me started laughing.

Exactly. He finally came back with the results that one of the tires deformed when applied to the road force test for balancing. So I drove out with a new tire on back. When did it become so hard to just say - let me check the problem for you? instead of all that smoke and bullshit?

It's discount tire did you really expect more, surprised the kid even knew how to run the balancing machine

Oh he wasn't the person running it. There was an older guy back there running it. I am pretty sure he was the one that made the call to replace the tire.

Need to get my 81 inspected but the horn doesn't work. Ordered a new horn off Amazon and I'm out there to change it. I need a wiring diagram. Something is different. There is constant power at the horn, I'm guessing the ground is what gets supplied when you hit the horn button. Installed the new horn and its still not working. Time to shoot some wires. Powerprobe and test light in hand! Now to just find the fucking wiring schematic. I think its on my tablet in PDF form. At least its easy to get to and not a dirty job.

Started the 100K Taco service, F & R diff's, xfer case, injun oil, greased ujoints, pulled rotors(factory) and drums taking them to O Reilly to cut em down. Gonna try and find autoshop for the EBC rotors to get turned.

Did a full service on the mower as well, new blades, oil, greased, air filter and gasser'd up.

Auto parts called last night and said the factory rotors are warp on the mounting plate/hub, either way looks I gonna get a new set

The EB's can be cut just in small increments, at a much longer process which most shops don't have time to mess with.

When I worked at O'Reilly in high school we had a few guys that turned rotors. They were very good at it and never tried to rush it by shaving off too much at a time. Tossing the guy a few extra dollars would help them not to care about going a little slower on your EBC rotors. Try to take them in on a weekday when they don't have as many to turn and more staff.

Or have your hot looking friend go in there - the bigger the tits the better. Funny thing is that I find more and more dykes working at parts stores. In that case, send in your younger brother dressed like a dyke. lol
