Did myself a favor and replaced a busted exhaust hanger. It started to rattle and was driving my crazy.

I had one of those on my 2008. Dealer replaced my driveshaft and 3rd member trying to diagnose the noise. Thankfully it was all under warranty.

Picked up a tablet for things like Torque and Backcountry Navigator. So I bit the bullet and bought one of those RAM mounts everyone else has. I like how it came out. Puts the tablet in a great spot for viewing without blocking vents or view but still keeps it high enough to not have to take your eyes off the road.

And what made you want to swap it out? Precautionary? There is a 1O-Realy's (;) ) that I frequent where the top dog there was trying to convince a guy with a 1st Gen Tundy that the O2 sensor burns unburned gas and his truck would run much better if he replaced them. I went out to the parking lot and plugged in a ODBii reader and I forget what his CEL was for but not related to an O2 sensor. He thanked me and returned it. I will say the guy is a good Salesman - the kind I don't care for.

I am going down the FSM list for the P0420 error code. No other related codes are being thrown and there are no gas leaks that I have found so far so that brought me to Step 3. This step is to check/replace the upstream O2 sensor. The previous owner's shop jumped to Step 4 and replaced the downstream sensor first (also the cheaper of the two). Now that both sensors have been replaced if it throws a code again I will most likely just replace the catalytic convertor and exhaust system. The exhaust system is already moving up my list as one of the POs had a crappy exhaust system installed. I am looking at going with a decent Walker quiet exhaust system.

It is SO nice to have my ABS back!!! Traced it down to one cable and then I wanted to repair it since it's $90 (I hope to get one for half that).

Traced it down to this stretch of cable. - I put those slits in to probe with sewing needle and sealed them afterwards - there was absolutely no visible signs on the cable.

added about 3/4" of multi-strand wire and soldered and shrink wrapped and wrapped with self vulcanizing wrap.

Anyone know how to recalibrate the VSC on a 2009 Taco? :) I see a couple of videos on YouToob shorting out two leads on the ODBII connector. Anyone ever done this?

Nice! Glad you were able to get it back up and running!

Reset the VSC and Yaw by shorting out ODBII pins 4 and 12. Now to connect the airbag connector to my seats .... But do I really want to have my airbags connected. I would hate to total my truck because of all the airbags going off... Maybe that wouldn't be a horrible thing.

Hardwired a charging cable up to my RAM mount for the tablet and got Torque up and running (for the most part)

Yep; same one I already have. Wonder if my reader is just bad or did not like getting dropped on the concrete.

Wait. Don't I see the words "Faulty OBD Adapter?"

VSC light back on. I'll get a front end alignment and then if it won't take a reset, does anyone know any troubleshooting dealio on VSC? Only other thing I can think is to check resistance in ABS sensors and check to make sure there is no grease build up in the ABS sensors.
