I'm lovin' this new homepage. Kicks ass!

I finally programmed my new keyfobs to my Tacoma using TacoXpo's article.
Programming 2nd Gen Key Fob

Everything works great!

Also cleaned my K&N air filter for the first time since I installed my snorkel. The filter is surprisingly clean! So I guess the theory behind smaller air particles being high up pans out. I honestly think it's been at least a year since I cleaned it last.

I tried to charge the battery on my '87 4R but the battery has a dead cell. I swear they get shaken battery syndrome.

Go AGM. I replaced the 2 Platinums in the Taco (they were both 8+ years old) with two X2 Power from Batteries Plus (tired of hearing rumors Sears was going bankrupt plus Sears seems to be phasing out the Platinums. When I went to replace them they didn't have a good selection ). Anyhow, same design, probably made in same factory... looks identical minus the colors. Specs are same except this has better warranty.

Now that is a nice battery. Will probably try to warranty this one first and then upgrade the battery once I have the rig running again.

I would like to put AGM batteries in all my trucks. I prefer them over the cheap auto store batteries.

I bought the ARB brackets off Amazon. Hopefully those work so I don't have to waste time I don't have fabbing some up.

I'm not sure how I'm going to make mine work with the RTT opening to the side. I'll probably be welding something up this weekend

Sweet. I'm going to mount this one on the side of that RTT mount I got from you.

My friend had some retractible brackets made with a detent. 1" square tube going into something like 1.25" square tubing. I will try to get some pics next time he drives it in.

Hmmm sounds interesting...

I'm gonna make a u-bolt to go around the RTT tube mount and then drill a bolt through the center so it'll have all three holes holding it on.

I picked up a Motive power bleeder to try and fix my brake issues. I had a soft pedal after replacing the axle shaft. We'll see if this does the trick.

While looking at the power bleeder I noticed they carry a power fill for oil. That would be pretty nice considering how often I'm changing diff and tcase fluids these days. The only problem is that they cost $80 and won't ship for up to three months. So I built my own for $25.00.

- One gallon pump up sprayer
- 1/4" ball valve
- 1/4" barbed fittings (2)
- and a short section of 1/4" ID clear hose

I took the pickup screen off the dip tube and cut the fitting for the spray wand off of the provided tubing. I'll test it this weekend to see how she works. It's a bit taller than the bleeder, but not as much as the pictures suggests. It's just the angle.
