Looks good, great price

What Procomp wheels are those and what was the backspacing 4.5in?

I have been looking for tires,
I'm still running the stock 16in rims and it limits your tire choices and often leads into only a load range D or E

but with 17in rims there are more choices with C load, or SL

I found these on sale and I just don't have time right now to modify stuff to fit a 34" tire. 70's in Toyo's are 33" and 75's are a 34" tire. I know a 70 in BFG is actually a 32" because they size them smaller.

The rims are Procomp 1089's IIRC. BS 4.5". I wouldn't recommend them. I got em for $125 a rim from 4wheelparts when they were having a super sale. It takes a lot of weight to balance these rims. When I get extra cash, I'll be getting a higher quality rim.

Also, I'd stick with a 16" rim. The tires are soooo much cheaper. The price always jumps a $100+ for a 17" vs a 16".

And then taping it off to figure out the results of the dove tail and bob. First, dove tail then bobbing the results. Outside of the tape should be the line where the bed stops. This area measures off to 33" deep and 36" wide at the tailgate. This is going to take off roughly 16-19" from the outside of the old tailgate to outside of the new tailgate.

I took a day to dry out a little.

Cut your stick tailgate down and make it work.

I am debating that route also; but will most likely just end up using the outside skin as I do not need/ want the tailgate to be 6" deep. I am not sure the new body lines at the back of the 4Runner will follow the tailgate well either. I am going to hold off trying to guess that one until it gets here. I think it would look good to retain a functional stock-looking tailgate but will have to see if I can make it work.
