What have you done to your ride lately?

I had a DNX890 and it had the Garmin nav.. but it was acting up. It was a problem with the unit as most reviewers had similar issues. I ended up pulling it out and getting the DNX891HD. Great unit.. zero issues so far. I gave my old unit to Rob and he installed it and doesn't use the Nav portion. But he did hook up a backup camera to it and it has a great picture. I have another Kenwood Excelon single Din with the flipout screen with Nav. I really liked that one as well. Someday when I get un-lazy I'll mount it in my 81 along with a couple cameras front and rear.

Changed the oil and gave it a once over in preparation for a 3000+ road trip. Just need to rotate the tires and I think it will be ready.

Some friends of my wife and I are trading in one of their FJs on Monday. We spent the day swapping parts from one FJ to the other and somehow in all the confusion my FJ lost its front wings.

Yep it doesn't take long at all. When I took the grill off I found a chalk mark with a date. Just more proof that I got one of the last FJs for the North America market.

Transfer case skid and 4x Innovations mount installed on the old 4Runner with no cussing or blood loss. Next up is cleaning up the garage and then working on the new rear axle for the '01 4Runner.

This evening I managed to get the diff armor fitted to the e locker rear end that is going under the 2001 4Runner. I also put in the flare fitting for the diff breather relocation. Tomorrow afternoon I am planning to put on new drum brake pads. Then this axle will be ready to go under the 4Runner finally. In the pic it shows the "test strikes" from the mini sledge after welding and before final paint.
